Maikel, 11 Dec 2008Guys, I was trying to read GSMArena comments on SE X1, Nokia 5800, and expectations of N97. I'... moreI have seen no low ringing volume trouble i wonder sometimes if they have the volume set correctly. If your used to symbian like i was you will struggle at first to get used to windows but the xperia is a good fone if somewhat technical..The n97 is still way off and they are having some problems with the touchscreen..
"This is the best Windows Mobile device that has ever passed my desk. Period.
Sony Ericsson was right by declaring it a "game changer" - this has raised the bar,
and if the Panel interface takes off and we see a lot of neat Panels,
the X1 could become a benchmark mobile device.
Not only is the X1 refined from top to bottom,
but it brings a new interface paradigm that challenges our idea
of what a Windows Mobile Today screen should be.
I was super impressed by its high performance and excellent battery life,
and was refreshed by the sensitivity and clarity of the high-resolution touchscreen.
If you're big on one-handed use, this device is not for you.
But for everyone else that desires a powerhouse of a device, this is definitely it."

"The launch of Sony Ericsson’s premium high-end brand XPERIA back in February
was a courageous and highly unexpected move that now seems to be
one of the most brilliant moves in a long time.
Without further ado, here is to our in-depth review of what is probably the best
and most versatile smart phone to date - the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1."

"Sony Ericsson makes a big deal about the Xperia X1 being an all-in one device for both work and play,
so it's no surprise there are a number of multimedia goodies.
The X1's media interface is built to resemble Sony's other consumer electronics,
including the PlayStation, the PSP, and the Bravia TV line,
so it may look familiar to any owners of those products.
The media player supports MP3, MP4, M4A, AAC(+),
WMA, WAV, MIDI, MPEG-4, WMV and other music and video formats.
Other goodies include podcast support, a streaming media player, and an FM radio,
though you have to use the included headset for the latter.
The X1 has about 400MB of onboard memory,
and the expansion slot can accept up to 16GB cards."

Guys, I was trying to read GSMArena comments on SE X1, Nokia 5800, and expectations of N97. I'm a Nokia user for so long, and my current device is N95. I just want to purchase a new device taking into consideration that i fully use any device's features. I saw so many comments on low ringing volume on X1, and some contradictory opinions about the system itself. Can any expert reply me objectively if i should go ahead and buying the X1 or wait for Nokia N97? thanks
Anonymous, 11 Dec 2008LOL yet another empty useless argument, Nokia outselling SE 8:1 means Nokia is better than SE ... moreAbsolutely right man, I agree with your example but let me remind you why compare cars when you can compare mobiles just see at 8800 arte can any nokia fanboy tell me why the sales of this mobile are less your so called luxury mobile as compared to 1100
Why is there no review on this phone yet? This must surely be one of the most anticipated mobiles out, yet the C series phones are getting all the reviews... what's with that????
Anonymous, 11 Dec 2008Now what u just said is nothing but 100% lie... I bought this phone 1 month ago together with... moreto mstL: LOL now you tell lies...in addition to those weak useless arguments...LOL what a low life ...
Anonymous, 10 Dec 2008Plastic toy??? :) It outsells X1 8:1 Application do not run on X1 due its non-standard re... moreLOL yet another empty useless argument, Nokia outselling SE 8:1 means Nokia is better than SE hahaha c'mon fan boy, it takes a lot more than that to make a brand better...ok here goes, Honda outsells Ferrari or Mercedes by tens or hundreds to 1, does it make Honda more superior than those Euro makers? NO. It only means Honda makes abundant of cheap affordable cars for majority of people to buy but that doesn't make the products more superior than the others just because it has more cars sold than higher-end makers. Wait until those China brands flood the market and steal Nokia's share of cheap phones in the market, maybe then you'll start talking and defending HuaWei LOL...
Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970Now what u just said is nothing but 100% lie...
I bought this phone 1 month ago together with iphone, and all i can say both of them rocks:
1. the biggest lie that u said is reception, before this one i had blackberry curve, and as soon as i walk inside my G/F house in the area where she lives,my blackberry goes dead, not even a voice mail sound or text message until i get outside...now with EXPERIA,not only that i can talk in her house, but i can go in her basement, which is 4' deep from the ground level, and talk for hours without gettin cut-off..
2. i have t-mobile internet package,so i don't even use wifi,and can't tell u anything about it...
3.Another big lie u said is about battery, from all my previous phones, this one has the best battery, better than any Nokia's,and it even beats my G/F iphone for at least 30%....
4.Unit doesn't get hot at all,i dunno where did u get that idea...
5.Low speaker volume is not low at all,it is if you cover the speaker with your thumb, but why do they have vibration mode,in case u don't hear phone ringing???
6.Case cracks ?..lol.. world trade center cracks once u hit it with the plane,so if you're throwing your unit around,of course it's gonna crack, nothing last forever...Honestly my fell down twice on the hardwood floor, and there wouldn't be one single scratch on the phone...
7.I do understand that u mentioned these problems don't happen with every X1 phone, but u pointed so many issues, that even if my unit was one of the best,i was still supposed to catch at least one or two issues, but at the end i caught none... not single one...
So far this is one of the best units out there:
sleek looking,quality design,not too big,so many features,and options...
Now if u wanna touchscreen toy to play around, listen to music then u get iphone,or 5800 ( i'm just not sure how long battery will last with those),but if u wanna another phone where u can also listen to music ,mini laptop, and phone with qwerty keyboard instead of touch one, where u can miss letters typing then u get X1 and for now it's the best one out there....
Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970 hey die hard Nokia fanboy, the 5800 isnt much compared to Xperia X1.
5800 is a toy with the xpressmusic logo on it lol
Xperia X1 can replace a Laptop! its an entire new LEVEL!
Have had last 4 days off with flu so only using xperia for few 2 minute calls & 10txtxs send/receive per day and battery is at 25% after 4 days. When working I get over one days heavy use, with nokia n80 had to charge 3 times a day
