although wildfire has smaller resolution than x8 but it has better camera (5mp auto focus with flash) , slightly better battery , a little bigger screen , multi-touch input so go for wildfire , you wont regret it!

I got mine Ocotber or November last year and i was able to upgrade it's software early December. You can do your upgrade through the Sony ericsson website or you can vist the Sony Ericsson Service Center. Xperia X8 and all of Sony Ericsson's Xperia line are great phone once you have maximze it's full capabilities and features. It does wonders! I can't wait to get Xperia Arc.

Go for the X8 because it's a very good smart phone with a lot of apps and games. But if you want a very good camera then go for vivaz.

Anonymous, 16 Jan 2011But Wildfire has resolution 240×320 and X8 has 320×480Thats right
but if we omit this , every other things is better than X8 ( and Wildfire CPU is slightly slower than X8 , but it doesn't affect very much)
and wildfire battery is 1300mAH

Hi guys, I'm from the Philippines. I got my Xperia X8 from my provider Sun Cellular. I chose this coz i thought i can upgrade it anytime to 2.1 (eclair) since the update's already out. Apparently, Philippines is not included in the upgrades and sadly, I learned this after I got the phone. Can anyone please tell me how to upgrade this to 2.1? Or is this impossible for now? please email me at jakepads@yahoo.com. I used to love Sony Ericsson but because of this, I think I'll sell my phone and never get SE again, coz I feel like i've been had.
