Sony pushes Android 14 update to its 2022 smartphone lineup
Sony is now pushing the Android 14 update to its 2022 lineup of smartphones. These include the Xperia 1 IV, Xperia 5 IV and Xperia 10 IV. The trio of Xperias now gets all of Android 14’s customization and security features alongside some new exclusive tweaks.

These include updated flash notifications which can trigger the LED flash for incoming alerts. The devices also get compatibility with the Find My Device app, expanded Nearby Share features for transferring files with Windows computers and new customizable lock screen shortcuts.

The updates will likely follow a scheduled release meaning some regions will get the update quicker than others.
