Sony announced the Xperia 1 VI in May of last year, so we're probably quite close to the unveiling of its successor, the Xperia 1 VII. This has now seemingly been certified in Taiwan by the NCC, a process which has revealed the following live images of the device.

The phone will apparently be offered in at least three colorways - black, "navy green" (it looks like machine translation failed here) and purple for the first time since the Xperia 1 IV. The phone unsurprisingly (for Sony, at least) looks a lot like its predecessor, just as the leaked CAD-based renders from earlier this month predicted it would.

Interestingly, an earlier rumor claimed all three rear cameras will have Exmor T sensors, but the same exact sensor sizes and resolution as the Xperia 1 VI - a 52 MP (48 MP effective) main camera, a 12 MP ultrawide, and a 12 MP telephoto.
