AnonD-38108, 03 Mar 2012and what are u guys "Quadcore lovers" gonna do with a quadcore "cellphone"... moreAgree with you 100%. I would never change my phone for quad CPU. my Sony Xperia Arc S is not even dual and works great as fast as my Nexus.
and what are u guys "Quadcore lovers" gonna do with a quadcore "cellphone"? work with "Auto CAD" or "Adobe photoshop" on ur cell phone??? what do u really use ur phone for other than..calling of course..surfing the net..music..photo or video shooting..check ur mail...gaming & stay connected to facebook or twitter. all that can be simply done by only a single core & 512MB RAM...even Android itself as an OS it doesn't need more than this to operate fast. and here is a phone with dual-core & 1GB RAM which will make any app goes very fast plus a 12 MP cam captures photos from sleep mode to shooting in less than 1.5 secs which makes it the fastest phone in market. it's just not about putting in a phone the latest tech or specs. if u really need the quadcore or the 3 or 5 GB RAM in ur phone for ur daily life tasks...wait for the GSIII or HTC one X. but with all respect the Xperia S is not an old one..it's fits all the needs & even more for a Smartphone in 2012
I love phone have tried or owen most of the Flagship phones. I owned many HTC Android which i hate and could no keep longer than one week I hated the screen. I liked my Samsung galaxy S2 by far more until Galaxy Nexus come to market last year. So, far the Nexus is best Android phone i had so far beside I owen Motorola Razr which is great and Sony Xperia Arc S. These 3 based on my experience best in market others are all trying such as HTC, LG, Acer and many others.
Believe Sony Xperia S it would be a great phone and can not wait to order one next week. The design is great and offer 32GB internal instead of my Nexus 16GB. But my Nexus so far working great and best phone i ver owned. I do have the iPhone too which look so basic and behind in technology compare to my Android phone. I just keep it since i been with company for long time.
Any how i recommend the Galaxy Nexus and Sony Xperia S based on my good experience with Xperia Arc S.
I like to add my Battery on Nexus by far better than iPhone 4S. My iPhone battery does not last more than 9 to 10 hours not even use any Facebook, Twitter and so on. The Battery life on Galaxy S2 is the worst between all these phones
Anonymous, 02 Mar 2012You're talking about a phone that releases 9 months after Samsung has released theirs. Do some... moreWhat about this one? http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_galaxy_s_ii_skyrocket_hd-4414.php
Even after 9 months the Arc performance good fight with the SG2 with only 1 single core 1.0 GHz CPU against 1.2 GHz dual core CPU from SG2 with limit 512 MB Ram against 1 Gig MB Ram almost keep up, so what is your point with 9 month later.
The Arc is almost equal fast as the GS2.

This phone is a failure. No microSD slot? Why not? There's more than enough space for it. And why can't it have regular SIM? You must cut your SIM card and you cannot use it in many other phones after cutting. Pathetic.
Anonymous, 02 Mar 2012Samsung sucks when it come to their display, 480 x 800 pixels 4.3 inches screen? comparing it ... moreYeah, and you forgot to add the poor Pentile in Samsung vs a real RGB screen here.
Just read the preview. I know benchmarks don't tell the whole story but how come if the xperia s and sensation xe have the same chip it performs much better?
hey guys just read the full review of this phone on p.....a
