Ahead of what seemed to be a scheduled release next week, Sony has already released the Xperia X Compact in the UK. This comes after pre-orders were available since the beginning of the month.
You can currently purchase the handset from O2, EE, giffgaff, Mobiles.co.uk, and Carphone Warehouse. If you're not a fan of two-year contracts, then you should know that Carphone Warehouse is also offering the device SIM-free, for £359.99. Other retailers should have the X Compact in stock starting next week, if you prefer some other company.
As for Pay Monthly plans, the cheapest one to net you the X Compact for free is generally under £30 no matter where you look.
The Xperia X Compact may be more of a mid-ranger than all of its Compact predecessors, but it still comes with decent enough innards. Whether its price is justified, however - that's your call. If you want to know more about it, don't miss our hands-on report from IFA.
That may be, but Sony cutting down on specs and features compared to the big brother, is kinda killing Compact brand for many fans of those phones (myself included).
You can get a very small tripod and take very nice night shots with a smartphone set at iso 100-400 and a shutter speed of 2-8 seconds. Fireworks, street lights, anything, limit is your imagination. Sold my Nikon DSLR and Fuji mirrorless earlier this...
