BlackBerry Mercury confirmed for MWC, new teaser video outed

BlackBerry CES 2017

TCL had some more info on the BlackBerry Mercury to share at it CES 2017 event. The company released a longer teaser video for it and gave us an announcement timeframe.

Cistulli said that “distinctly different and impressively designed BlackBerry smartphone” will be announced next month in Barcelona at the Mobile World Congress.

The press release says that the phone will focus on security, productivity and reliability, but unfortunately it didn't mention any specifications.

Hopefully the email performance will like old Blackberry. Very fast incoming mail. Compare to other email apps, old BB was a super.

Oh do me a favor and spare me this ''security'' mumbo-jumbo. Android is secure, and just as secure as iOS. It isn't success if you are not smart enough and entering malicious websites, downloading malicious apps and so on.

For adults wanting a phone to actually use for work that is secure, they have one option since BB10 is gone away. Windows 10 Mobile is that option. Apple IOS has been shown it can be hacked. Android with can't be secured, period. I have no...
