Redmi Xiaomi Pocophone Android Rumors

Since the new Redmi K20-series are already out in China, it's time for Xiaomi's sub-brand to focus on the international market. The latest piece of information, however, comes as a surprise because it seems that in some countries, the handsets won't come out under the Redmi brand.

The Redmi K20 Pro is said to appear as Pocophone F2 Pro while the vanilla K20 will be named Pocophone F2. This also means that the phones will be called Poco F2 and Poco F2 Pro in India. The source also claims that both phones will retain their amazing price tags.

And almost certain, darlings. The Redmi K20 is indeed likely to be the Poco F2. The SD 855 edition is likely to be called F2 Pro and the SD730 just F2. And the prices will be astonishing!

To further complicate things Xiaomi just teased the arrival of a new member to the Mi 9 family with a pop-up selfie camera, much like the K20 and K20 Pro. It could very well be the Mi 9T and Mi 9T Pro that leaked the other day from a Polish source.

K, I or T...Which letter would you choose for the newest member of our Mi9 family? why? #PopUpInStyle pic.twitter.com/Ks5xokWrUG

To sum things up, while in their original launch the K20 and K20 Pro were Redmi phones, they will carry Xiaomi's brand and in others, and be branded Pocophone/Poco elsewhere. It remains to be seen which markets will get which versions. One thing is for sure, though, the hardware will be the same and the price tag will be tempting.

The absence of an IR blaster can be remedied by buying an optional accessory: https://www.gearbest.com/chargers-cables/pp_009386814589.html But no micro sd slot? Epic fail - at least for Netflix users or those who love to store movies/tv serie...
