T-Mobile wouldnít be the carrier it is today without its outspoken CEO, John Legere. It only took a day for T-Mobile to come up with a way to one-up Verizonís first unlimited plans that the company has offered since it stopped offering unlimited plans several years ago. You can check out Verizonís new plans and trade-in-deals here.
Verizonís new plans actually one-upped T-Mobileís ONE plan by offering HD video streaming (which T-Mobile capped at 480p) and 10GB of included tethering with the new plans (which T-Mobile limited to 3G speeds). If you wanted any of these features, you had to pay extra fees to get them on T-Mobileís ONE plan.
Verizon has felt the heat in the past year and caved in just yesterday when it aired commercials during the Grammy Awards. I have to admit, my jaw dropped as soon as the commercial ended.
T-Mobile has released its new pricing structure and feature list for T-Mobile ONE plans which are still cheaper than Verizonís and now match the two features that Verizonís plans offer: 10GBs of tethering + HD video streaming (up from 480p).
But anyway, John Legereís tweet storm can be seen below.
6/ Starting Fri, #TMobileONE price includes HD video & 10GB high-speed 📱hotspot data Ėall at no extra charge. AND taxes & fees are included!ó John Legere (@JohnLegere) February 13, 2017
T-Mobile has brought serious competition to the mobile industry in the US, back during a time that it desperately needed it (as plans began to soar in cost). If John Legereís plan was to see if T-Mobile could get Verizon to its knees, it certainly succeeded. Now itís time for Verizon to play at T-Mobileís game. Things are going to get really interesting for all carriers during the next few years during the 5G Race.
3 UK have restrictions on tethering and at least if you use them outside UK with "Feel at home" they throttle everything heavily.
AT&T isn't doing anything. They are like idiots giving you Unlimited Only if you get the Direct TV. If they don't start doing something like it I will have to leave them.
It's not good for all text messages. You wouldn't be able to text a picture using 2G.
