We stopped by at the Alcatel OneTouch booth at the MWC this year as well. There we found a plethora of new entry-level phones, a few messengers and smartphones. We decided to present you only the most intriguing ones.
So, the first phone we took shots is the One Touch 995 ULTRA. It has a 4.3-inch WVGA display and has a single-core 1.4GHz processor in charge.
The OT-995 Ultra has a 5 megapixel camera capable of HD recording at the back and a VGA one at the front for video chats. There is an HDMI port for HDTV output on board. The phone runs on Android Gingerbread, but it will be upgraded to Ice Cream Sandwich. There are some Alcatel customizations on the UI too.
The OT-995 ULTRA looks pretty, while fingerprints and smudges are highly unlikely. Overall our impressions are nothing short of good.
As the model number suggest this fella is going to be a cheaper smartphone than the OT-995. The OT-991 SMART is based on a less capable 800MHz (single0-core) processor and utilizes a bit smaller 4-inch WVGA display. There are also 3MP snapper at the back and a VGA one at front.
The OT-991 Smart runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread and in some markets (if the carrier order it that way) it could be a dual-SIM device.
This fella has nothing really special, but we haven’t seen such a cute and small phone for quite a while. And it has a QWERTY keyboard!
So, the TRIBE is a QWERTY slider with smallish 2” screen, a 2MP camera, FM radio and a microSD card slot. It looks really nice and in some market it might be found as dual-SIM too.
