Like every other big Chinese smartphone maker, vivo has been churning out new devices left and right like crazy recently, and it's unlikely that this pace will slow down in the near future. The NEX 3 5G is getting official on September 16, and at the same time it looks like vivo is working on yet another handset, the V17 Pro.
This model has been leaked through the outing of the promo image you can see below. It clearly shows a pop-up selfie camera mechanism, that seemingly houses not one, but two sensors. Additionally, there's an in-display fingerprint sensor.
The top and side bezels are incredibly tiny, while the chin does seem marginally bigger, but still nothing to complain about. The handset doesn't seem to have a curved screen, instead going with the traditional "2.5D" glass on top.
The details on the back of the phone aren't visible, but it's clear that its cameras will be horizontally centered, as they aren't seen on the left side. The V17 Pro is expected to sport a quad rear camera setup, with enhanced zooming capabilities, so maybe a periscope camera is in tow?
The vivo V17 Pro should become official by the end of the month and hit the market in India before Diwali. Employee training for this model is set to start on September 9, according to some unnamed sources. A non-Pro V17 should arrive alongside it, apparently.
