Popular messaging service WhatsApp - which boasts of over 1 billion active daily users - has made official its plans for businesses. The Facebook-owned company revealed they are currently building and testing new tools that are aimed making interaction between people and businesses easy and more reliable.

Specifically, the company says they are working on a free WhatsApp Business app for small companies and an enterprise solution for bigger companies like airlines, e-commerce sites, and banks.

"These businesses will be able to use our solutions to provide customers with useful notifications like flight times, delivery confirmations, and other updates," the company said in a blog post.

There's currently no information on exactly when these tools/solutions will be launched.
