Xiaomi 14 series specs tipped
With the Xiaomi 13 series already available globally, it’s time to turn our attention to the next generation of flagships from Xiaomi. The first set of specs for the Xiaomi 14 series are here thanks to tipster Digital Chat Station who shares some preliminary details about the chipsets, batteries and charging speeds of the upcoming flagships.
Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro are expected to debut in November with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset at the helm. The next-gen flagship SoC from Qualcomm will be announced in late October at a dedicated event held in Maui, Hawaii. Xiaomi will be one of the first smartphone brands to launch devices powered by the new chipset.
Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is expected to feature a new 1+5+2 core architecture with a Cortex-X4 prime core alongside 5x Cortex-A720 cores and 2x Cortex-A520 cores. The GPU side is expected to be covered by the Adreno 750 which should offer some noticeable performance gains.
Xiaomi 14 is said to feature a 4,860mAh battery with 90W fast wired charging and 50W wireless top-ups. Xiaomi 14 Pro will boast a slightly larger 5,000 mAh cell with 120W wired and 50W wireless charging.
