I got this phone for almost a week now and honestly I really love it... Though on the spec sheet the resolution is low but on real life usage it not even noticeable at least for me.. I don't go about checking my screen with a magnifying glass.. Hehe.. But one genuine issue is with the brightness of the screen.. It seems a bit low.. Auto brightness setting is horrendous and I mostly keep it turned off.. The screen is barely visible in harsh sunlight even in full brightness.. Otherwise it's absolutely fine.. For a budget phone it's a bang for the buck..

Mi A2 is and will be my last Xiaomi phone. The Mi A3 is a terrible upgrade. I wanted a better chipset (which the SD665 isn't), 6GB of RAM and a bigger Full HD screen. Samsung A70 ticks all the boxes. Xiaomi shot themselves in the foot with this upgrade.

I was so curious when mi A3 was launched, even i was about to but that... But i was so disappointed when i see it in showroom... Phone is awesome, good spec, compact, pure android... But wat ppl use often, it was the screen which we see most of the time while using it... I saw some opinions that screen is not a deal-breaker... But it is... According to me the screen quantity is so poor... As my primary mobile was broken i was using redmi 2 for 3 months... What i say is redmi 2 screen is better than mi 3...

I'm using this phone, 3 weeks already now. And I'm like you, not a gamer, using this phone for browsing, camera, social media, etc. Even reading ebook for me is good.
Personally, I think it is all depends on our own preferences and how satisfy or sufficient enough the display to us. My advise, go to nearest Mi Store and try it yourself first.
