Anonymous, 05 Aug 2018Should I buy this or the redmi 6?I would buy the redmi 6 pro instead, 1080p resolution, slightly bigger screen, better colour choice and better and smaller form factor.
Not sure why people are complaining about the headphone volume. The volume is way too much for my headphones. I've used the headphone tool to select the right headphones and went from there. The sound is really very good.
Sound is better than the redmi 4 prime, battery life is amazing and never had any issues.
Running EU MIUI10
it is best at its price segment. If u r in tight budget i fully recommend redmi 5. it is best am not joking at all. Buy it, use it and recommend as well as say it's bad cause it's actually not baaaaaaad.
san, 19 Aug 2018its this phone version 2gb ram better than samsung note 3?yes
Readmi 5 has lower volume output through headphone jack which was initailly the case with mi max global version 3 gb , 32 gb rom. It was the rom bug which was preventing the actual volume, but after the update it became fixed . Is this the same issue with readmi 5 as well ? or your company just built it that way? If you lower your volume at such a dramatic range then it is completely disappointing . Please, fix the issue. we are hoping for the best on behalf of all xiaomi users.
the phone so far easy to use, all updated , nice picture , except for the volume not that loud..otherwise everything looks ok for me if compared to huawei .
the radio is not supported by MI at all. they don't say on their site it has a radio because it doesn't work.
my readmi 5 is running on 220.127.116.11. it has very low audio output through headphones. please fix this
Jaydev, 09 Aug 2018WhyWell, I bought the 16gb version of redmi 5 with 2gb ram. Performance is awesome but 32gb will be better for more storage and 3gb ram is faster to gaming and other stuff.
On Miui Global Beta 8.8.9
Ali, 08 Aug 2018Did someone get any update?Mine is on nougat 7.1.2 and miui 9.6.3
It's already at its best. I doubt any major updates will boost its performance
