NickTheDude, 19 May 2019This phone is just needs UFS2.1 to become flagship grade.This is faster than pixel 3a series l... moreIf you looking at some benchmark like androbench or cpdt, ufs in the midrange devices actually just slightly better compared to emmc, ufs have much better performance in sequential read test, but in random read/write and sequential write test, ufs just slightly better.
Midrange soc like sd 7xx/6xx only support single lane ufs, and I guess the nand flash it self which is use in midrange devices have lower performance than nand in the high end phone. So the performance gap betwen ufs and emmc in the midrange devices is not too much.
For example you can check androbench result at notebookcheck for mi 9 se or galaxy a50 which is already use ufs, then compare it to note 7 pro or even cheaper note 7.
Even better if you can find androbench or cpdt result for realme 2 pro 128gb variant, you can compare it to the newer realme 3 pro 128gb variant, the realme 2 pro storage is ufs but the newer realme 3 pro switch back to emmc.

This phone is just needs UFS2.1 to become flagship grade.This is faster than pixel 3a series lol. Lets hope that Note 8 pro comes with UFS 2.1 . Truly Redmi series is the best phone for price as this same 48mp sensor is getting used by Oneplus 7 pro , Zenphone 6 and they cost three times more.
