to format yor mobile i-mate jama 101
first put off the battery then hold the volume down key and red hang up button then put the battery
then wait till the red light goes of
now ur mobile is formatted

i bought an i mate jama,n now it stopped working ..whenever i the battery its screen displays 'i-mate' n thereafter nothing goes beyond that..
please help me what shud i do..

sir I had imate jama windows 6.0 the system is very slow suddenly I got a display that main power battery is low kindly recharge r replace the battery and imediately window disappear when I check battery power in programs its very low and increses slowly and have full level it automatically switch off the phone conection kindly give solution for this my mail id is diabeticsiva@yahoo.co.in

when i turn my imate jama on, an installer appears on the screen and starts installing, but it stops at 40% and is stuck and doesn't proceeds, but calls and messages do come on it. PLease help me, i'm using my brothers phone, and he'll kill me if he comes to know of it. Also i'm like 14 years old, so i can't go out to somewhere to get it repaired. Please help me!

hEY Guys I have purchased a I- mate but from that I can able to get the incoming calls only, the outgoing calls are not working. when I call any number its getting simply dropped with a beep sound. Is there any special settings to be made. Please suggest me...

hi..
there is a problem with my phone... no sound while i am getting a call... no sound while a call is connected... the person in the other side is also unable to hear wat i talk... songs not getting played.. showing error report like sound drive corrupted.... the ringtone in the mobile provided by default is also corrupted.... i did master reset.. its showing the same problem... is there any solution .... please help.... thanx...

Guys By This MY Imate is WORKINg FINE and This is NEW OS WIndows Mobile 6 .... ALL JAMA faulty there phjone is not woking do this INSHALLAH ur JAMA Work Fine.!

used the above link to successfully upgrade JAMA from WM5 to WM6!
u can get the rom i used here:

The procedure is simple...
1. Format a memory card (micro sd) using FAT 16, use a card of 512 mb or less and atleast 64 mb since JAMA duznt support 1 Gb cards....
2. Extract the contents of the above mentioned rom to the memory card
3. Remove the simcard, insert the memory card back and then insert the battery
4. It will automatically upgrade, it will take sometime so relax
MAKE SURE TO BACKUP ANY IMPORTANT DATA!
and yes wm6 works and feels far better than the preinstalled wm5 so go ahead!

BLUE logo appear on screen of IMATE but not going on WINDOWS now i m going tommorow to Imate Service centre.. but any one how to solve this problem , may be my Windows is corrupted or any other problem .:(

Plz Help me... Guyz When i Switched on my JAMA . then its gives BLUE logo of I-Mate for 20 seconds after this its goes on BLACK screen not full black but screen is shining of some light but nothing display on screen plz help any Xpert.. I tried to RESET and HARD RESTE nothing happend plz hellp...!!!
