nothing would work much for wp8 unless app support improved at par to android or app store.. people buy mostly for apps..

> In reply to sure... @ 2013-03-01 21:17 from 2Zd{ - click to readAll Windows Phone 7.X is based on the ancient Windows CE Kernel from the old Pocket PC and Windows Mobile. That's why it's not upgradeable to WP8. WP8 is using the Windows NT kernel, same kernel as Windows 8, Windows 2012 Server, etc... It's more future proofed.

> In reply to Abe01 @ 2013-03-01 19:03 from sSPi - click to readYes, that would satisfy me. I just don't want to see any nonsense such as updates not being compatible with devices that have been sold within the last year or so. You know, something like "well, this update only works with devices with 1gb of RAM or higher so sorry Lumia 520, 620 & 720 owners but you don't qualify."
Customers, particularly the 2-year contract ones, HATE that kind of stuff with a passion. So if MS wants people to believe in the WP8 platform and embrace it like the love of a good woman, they won't pull any stunts like the one I just mentioned.

No offense Microsoft, but after screwing over the WP7.5 early adopters what makes you think anyone will believe what you have to say about updates? Also, the words "probably" and "might" in this article don't exactly inspire confidence. Actions speak louder than words. You want to earn our trust back? Deliver. Period.
