I have a samsung s3, had it for 9 months now and i never had that my phone suddenly dies, NEVER had that issue on my s3, its a good thing sammy used polycarbonate on their phones coz if not crapple might sue them again for using alluminum cover on their phones, polycarbonate is a cheap plastic? Yeah right. Maybe you guys need to research on it. Maybe other s3 that were release had that issue but samsung was able to fix the problem asap, hope that sony will do the same thing asap. For sony. Having this issue on a newly release phone is bad news. They havent reach their target sales yet then boom this issue came out, this will give a really bad impression especially on the people who wants to have this phone, that is if they read comments or check feedbacks.
even Samsung has the problem with their battery...why ur guys so fanatic with ur brand
I don't understand. Why is everyone (over)reacting if you don't care about Sony and only love the "thing" you have at this moment?
What a stupid post is this. I have s3 and i5, but this Sony is much better than this two. I love this phone and this performance is awesome...its Sony no worry,,,ok guys
if apple, htc, samsung, lg never had the same problem with sony then it's sony fault.. but we all know that all smartphone got same problem so no need to bashing sony
Sony have undoubtedly made a brilliant device but the overheating and
battery issue are holding it back. If it can find a quick fix software
update for these issues would be great. Till then, I am bound to retain
loyalty to the galaxy devices.
I love XZ but I won't bother if it dies. S4, Htc One and IP5 are also there.. May The Best Win
Someone from my office has already the Xperia Z and after a couple of days it has a nasty long and deep scratch on the screen. What a shame. He showed me his old SonyEricsson Arc which after a couple of years had no damages on the screen whatsoever. Besides holding this big square phone is very tough. S4 all the way baby... :-)
Cyco, 21 Mar 2013hav had it for a week or more, the battery seems quite decent given the display and it's brigh... moreSony has a repair mode in their update service (seus). For some reason factory loading of software not always 100%. Reloading or repairing software fixes most issues. Also when updating, best to backup and do a clean install.
heats up tremendousluly and poor.battery backup n service centre does not have any idea for that issue very disopinted
My Nexus 4 experienced the same thing. Battery was at just under 30%.
i dont get people who made comments like "xperia z is best smartphone better than apple samsung" and "xperia is better" and so on. come on i have used almost 70 mobile phone in the last 15 years and most of them are nokias but i am not fanboy of any brand because it is just stupid i like samsung and now i am using it because it is my choice just like all of my friends using sony as their laptop but i am using msi because i like it much and msi offer you more cpu ram gpu that means better computer with the same money of equivalent sony that is why i choose it so people need to understand that every brand has its failures and good point for example i was waiting for galaxy s4 because i am planing to buy note 3 as a original note user but s4 have no fm radio and i am very disappointed because possibly note 3 will not have radio either but i am not saying "samsung is better than everything" because i cannot judge that
i have xperia S and xperia ion lolzzz, never experience that problem , S3 also ever had the sudden death problem , by the firmware update , everything will fine , but i am still not believe yet how it dead , never experience that with SONY, may m lucky ^^
yan, 21 Mar 2013well, to be honest, if i was a cellphone made by sony, i would also be ashamed of being who i ... moreAnd what about the important parts of many of the flagship smartphones out there that uses Sony made items. I.e. Camera sensors, Sony made softwares.

Dont you guys notice a pink tint on the screen or is it just me!
But WTF, you spend a fortune on a phone that dies for no apparant reason.
That is SONY. Made To Believe.
pso, 21 Mar 2013There's a news to fix this with some phone not all first of all, and its so simple u just need... moreHow can the software/firmware fix the sudden death since it is a hardware design flaw?
Sony you better test your product thoroughly before releasing to market.
Sony Xperia™ Z is the best smartphone out there. Better than gs4, ip5, better than all.
well, to be honest, if i was a cellphone made by sony, i would also be ashamed of being who i am and stopped working. Only sony made electronic worth buying is the playstation consoles.
