3 days with S3 White

Design wise: not the best, HTC designs are much better, i even prefer my old C7 design, but the white S3 is way much better than the blue one as i prefer to hold a TV remote control than holding the blue S3.

Display wise: WoW, i had some doubts about the screen, as now there are IPS, Super IPS 2, Super Amoled plus screen technologies, but this screen along with the RGB sensor and screen modes from Samsung it blows minds.

Performance: WOW again, i feel i can install Photoshop CS on this device.

Camera wise: i took pictures and videos they are awesome even in low light, i don't need better sensors or bigger MPs.

Screen UI wise: i still prefer untouched ICS, much simpler, or maybe its just me as i got used to ICS out of the box on my Lenovo thinkpad.

Battery wise: 2 days my ass, 18 hours is the max for this device, and yes i am loading lot of apps and i deactivated the auto-brightness even for browser, i want to enjoy my new device screen and 4core CPU or what else i bought a powerful device like that? this device need at least a 3000 mAh.

Usability wise: well i had some regrets just 2 hours after i bought the S3, I CANNOT CALL THE S3 IS A PHONE IT'S ALMOST A TAB, it's impossible to use it with one hand unless you are a NBA player, so as a daily business phone it's not practical at all, and i still prefer Nokia to make calls.

OS wise: LoL, well its Android, not belle, not IOS and not WP, so yup it's the best.

Overall: I am glad that i bought the S3, sooner or later i will get use to its huge size and i will start optimize usability to get a better battery life, and since i bought the S3 i didn't touched my tablet and this exactly what i mean when i say its not a phone its almost a tab.

To answer your questions:

1) This has been happening to others as well.

2) Polaris Office (the full version) is currently unavailable for download. Though the pop-up claims you can download it from "Samsung More Service", there is no such website or anything like it on Samsung's Applications on the phone.

3) You have to go to "Developer's Options" and check the box that says "Enable USB Debugging"

4) You could install 3rd party apps from Google Play or you could simply use the "Developer's Options" to limit the number of apps running in the background.

Hope that helps.

i really tried to like this new S3, had it for 6 days, took some videos of a few gigs, used it intensively with all its great feature, but the audio is awful on videos, with no bass, tinny and distorted, its reported all over different forums that Samsung have messed up the audio on video, i also had dropped wi fi connections on it, sent mine back today, totally dissapointed, loved the screen and look and speed of it, goodbye Samsung :-(

Hi all,
Not had any problems with my S3. Battery life seems to be very good.
The only thing I woulod say is that the camera isn't that good and a bit of a let down, apart from that it's a good phone.
Give the phone a chance people!

For those only seen from paper here, go and play a real S3 device, you will know how impressive they are start from design to it functionality and performance.

It is not a small updates from S2, so far I feel this is the best phone ever did by Samsung.

Never regret pick it up replacing my previous S2. :)

gs3 is really really hot.. it even started a flame! LOL!! LOL!! LOL!!! LOL!!!

"It doesn't look good. This Galaxy S III apparently malfunctioned while in an in-car holster, causing some substantial melting and burn marks across the lower half of the device. The global HSPA+ iteration of Samsung's new flagship apparently sparked into white flames, followed by a bang. While it's certainly not the first smartphone to implode in transit, the damage -- along the base but separate to the charging port -- looks pretty substantial and although the screen still apparently worked, reception was dead. The phone has been whisked off to a repair center through phone retailer Carphone Warehouse for the full autopsy. User dillo2k10 was left unscathed, but it's apparently left some nasty molten plastic remain on the inside of his car. Hit up the gallery link below for some more scorch-marked close-ups."
