i just got the phone today and fell in love with it immediately i have had no trouble getting used to all the functions and have put some music on my phone already this is the best phone i have had so far and am really pleased i chose this and not the sony walkman W800i
my phone said it is a D600e does anyone know what the e stands for cos i ordered a D600.
some people have mention that it is for edge.
but what does edge mean
please answer my question

hi i just bought a samsung d600 and wen i put the sim in theres a 'G' sign on the top right hand corner.It's a GPRS icon but any1 who has a d600 know how to get rid of it PLZ PLZ PLZ PLZ PLZ thanks kal for ur help but how do i do that ANY1 WITH A D600 KNOW HOW TO GET RID OF THE GPRS ICON

Hi,

I just bought this phone 2 days ago (Hong Kong). Its great so far, but after first charging, the battery only lasted me for 12 hours coz I was playing with the phone and checking out its functions throughout the day. Hopefully it will last me much longer than that when I really use it normally.

Anyway, I was just wondering, what version of software do you guys have installed on the phone? Mine is "A1", but I've read on other posts that there are J3, L4, K3 and K4 out there too. (you can check version number by entering *#1234#)

hello everyone.......i need help on my d600
when i connect my phone to tv, my screen shut off and i couldn't see anything....does anyone know why??? how do i watch video on tv......can u guyz please help

DJ Bird. Go to the alarm menu and go to the 4th option (auto power on)and choose on. Works a treat.

Hi Liv, I had the same problem. You need to go to Phone settings, USB settings, and change it to mass storage. Then you'll be able to hook it up good.

Hi, I have had this phone for over 3 months and I still cannot figure out why the phone won't connect to the comp thru the USB...and i really wanna start putting my phone to good use.

You have to turn off your MMS reception or in otherword, set the GRPS setting to "Off"(in that case you wont recieve MMS) or you can set it to only when required. I dont have a D600, so dont know exact settings.

i wld say that the G icon is the GPRS icon.. ur telco won;t charge u at all if u dun use it do d/l anything.. however it makes ur phn use a bit more battery as it has to constantly search n establish that GPRS link..

anyways i have a question of my own.. i was wondering whether the dictaphone function in tis d600 phone can record phone conversations? thanks...
