Just got this phone but having problems downloading music from pc. Tried following instructions, but lost when trying to locate file manager from the Walkman commands. Any advice?

bought the phone and played around for a while now, the sound and the pic quality are amazing, i would recommend this if you are not too worried about the memory (256mb).and also this site says that there is not photo/video editor, its wrong. there is a photo/video editor and it works amazing!

my problemo remains unsolved .pls someone tell me while playing mp3 songs, radio or when the phone rings how many speaker works?? SE site shows this phone has 3 speakers .. my question is all 3 speakers works if u play an mp3 song?? pls answer my question i want to purchase this phone

relax dude...i ve had ths one for a mnth nw..n i never had any probs wid dwnlded music...as for nokia apps...except for the fact that u cant play .aac files..everythng else is compatible..the system error might be due to incorrect compression..in a disc these patches get skippd..nt so in a mp3 player...so go 4 it...

hey guys, i m from india.recently i heard from few users of w550i that at the time of playing music downloaded in phone memory, mobile hangs with a prompt "system error", kindly tell me if any body has encountered the same error becoz i came 2 know that even cust care is unable to fix this error, they say that it is by default. i m qt worried to hear this because i ws going to buy this fone.nd due to this tech error we will not b able to listen complete songs downloaded.
nd even heard that if downloaded sum application, songs, clippings etc from nokia handset, most of the times they doesnt work well on w550i.
if any one knows abt this tn plz plz do intimate me if it is rly true or atleast what the real picture is.

Hey guys whats the song for W550 commercial?I remember its in a dance club a guy uses his W550 phone to rave in a club then suddenly his mum calls.Then a guy switch the music to Boogie boys song?Whats that called?thanks.

Hi Ankit...
since u ve been using nokia..u'll ve observed dat it takes a hell lot of time to swap b/w the phone n the memory card..n sometimes the phones hang juz b'coz of dat..
itz nt the case here..i've been usin it for a mnth nw..n no problem of hanging yet..n the os is pretty fast...
as for the mp3 player...well..the sound quality is awwwsome..the distortion is minimal..unless u wanna listen to heavy metal on the speakers..no such issues if u ve the headphones on tho...then agn ...u dont get stereo speakers on ipod...!!

well i am planning to get dis one but da thing is i hav Nokia 7610 n i m dam confusd to tak dis one or not... i dont hav any probs with da memory 256MB n dont even hav any probs wid da camera as well but da thing it has 256MB inbuilt....so aint it is having any hanging probs?????
plz help me out in dis as i m gonna take it wid in a day or so.....
so mates help me....

hi guyz...i will be buyin this phone in a week...i want to knoe that while playin mp3's with the stereo widening effect and full volume is there any distortion in the sound???....

hy guys bought this fone a week back......its awesome...too good.....no other fone has such a sound quality...i wish memory cud b a lil more....n a 2 mp cam.....but the fone volume reduces whn u keep it in standby mode for a long time....n u hve to restart the fone again......can n e one pls tell me how to transfer java games onto the fone after downloading it in .jar or .jad file...plz
i think its better than n e of the nokia fones

hi ppl.. In Pakistan the price of this phone is 19,650/- PKR. looks great but my question is this phone has 3 speakers, while playing mp3 or when phone rings all 3 speakers works or just 1 or 2 speakers works??? pls answer my question soon...

The good thing about this phone is that it doesnt have the stupid joystick found in K750/K700/W800..the 5-way navi pad is a much better..who likes joystick in a phone anyway!

it does not have a memory card slot. considered a great disadvantage and worthless when you trade in. i would rather wait for SE W900

I know the software was on there but no drivers. It doesn't matter now just reinstalled windows and it works fine, didn't even need any drivers or software. Anyway i'm happy with this phones especially since i got a real good deal, cameras average compared to other latest phones but the sound is just...WOW, especially when you max out everything, unbleivable sound quality beats every other phone, jus lack of memory and camera quality gives this an 8/10 imo.

Urh~i'm pretty blur right-now because i had to choose between SE750 & SEW550. but, i'm trully interested in SEW550 & still wondering how the quality of the camera for this phone.?? any1 here had the picture could post it here, & also any1 of u guys here know whether the SE750 got stereo speaker.??

Hi,

Just got this phone, and I am quite happy with it. I just had a panasonic, and of course there are always some functionality that you are going to miss, especially the automatic switch off function, and the phone lock function that works as an extra lock while the phone is turned on...BUT the SE w550i offers so much more :) and it has been great to explore it all! + battery time is GREAT!

Reg. software, you can find it here: www.sonyericsson.com under support! (atleast thats where I found and downloaded the software, since I had trouble with the cd too!)

All in all I think its a great phone. A bit heavy and bulky, and I still have to get used to the swivel-function, thinks its strange that you have to turn it upside down :S ...but it grows on you :)

Furthermore, as a girl, I love that you can change covers on it! I got both the orange and white, but might just get a pink one ;)

Try the SE UK site....i think u can get the softwares there...since itzz a newly launced model..the site for couple of contries are nt updated yet...

Hey ppl my friend just took the cell india for Rs.14898/-....i found the phone quite intresting.....the mp3 player , radio, and evrythig including the stereo speakers works great.....screen good.....but beleive me se has dissapointed in the camera section...but overall great value for money...so in the same price segment..better of 6670....but the desgn rocks....and one more thing...the second supllied white cover sucks real time.....

I've tried looking and i can't seem to find drivers on the sony ericsson website. i've found for other phones e.g w800 and thought i'll try, could've guessed it wouldn't work but no drivers for w550i.

Dude...plzz forget abt expanding the memory...itzz technically nt possible...i guess Razz could use a part of his analytical skills to explain as to hw to do it!!...n dat comes from my experience of 5 years in dat field...

For Darkmoon:
Dude...the stereo speakers are amazin...no compare to the 3230 wic sounds soo pedestrian....
