This phone is absolutely incredible for the price compared to similar phones that cost 3 times more.The GPS on it spun me out when it showed the view of the front of my place and I could spin around and see and see what is around me. You guys are probably used to all this technology but to me it is a miracle gadget.I would most certainly recommend it to anyone whether they are on a budget like me or not.I find the weather forecast handy as well as the fact that the internet etc. is already set up to go. The only thing I am trouble with is finding a site to download the upgrade to version 4.0.I keep coming up with one that makes you install a toolbar but that's as far as it goes.Can anyone help. After Upgrade to ICS v. 4.0.4 WIFI-Tethering with WPA-encrpytion fails! It only works without encryption - it's not recommended to use this mode. This problem also exists on several other smartphones using ICS.

Once for the highest grade of GB (2.3.6) and the second time for ICS 4.0.4. But if you said it kept re-installing GB on your device then you might have a problem...

I even tried updating it a few more times, thinking maybe it will update a subversion first then to the main Android 4.0. It didn't say even once that my version is already up to date. kept reinstalling 2.3.6 over and over again. Now the download links for Macedonian Alcatel site doesn't even work. All 404 links. Very poor support from Alcatel, now I know why everyone told me why I should get a better brand instead. This is idiotic..

My phone got "stuck" on the screen where the android is beside a triangle and exclamation point. I've been waiting for like 3 hours and its still there.

mende, 23 Dec 2012i try evrithing factory reset i try with ONE TOUCH Upgrade but nothing .... still the same thing Make sure you remove your micro sdcard when using the one touch upgrade. Also you could flash clockworkrecovery and the wipe data.

mende, 23 Dec 2012i try evrithing factory reset i try with ONE TOUCH Upgrade but nothing .... still the same thing I had that trouble with my OT995 ... OS remains 2.3.6 and that was lasting for more than a month. Even through the wifi updating by the phone itself but yet. However, 10 days ago , I tried to update it with wifi process and it worked. My new OS is 4.0.4 now and very happy with it. The options are useful and the GSM signal became more strong. Keep away from using the update with ur pc. Only by the mobile itself and it will work.
