Amazfit Smart wearables Rumors

Amazfit, known for its well-built but affordable smartwatches, has a new model in the works. The Amazfit Active Max has a clean look with a graduated bezel of the Active series paired with a larger display and a much larger battery.

The Max has a 576mAh battery, according to the leaked specs shared by Roland Quandt. Also, it has a 1.5” OLED display with 480 x 480px resolution. For comparison, the Amazfit Active 2 has a 1.32” 466 x 466px display and a relatively small 270mAh battery. Amazfit has models with even larger batteries, e.g. the recently released Balance 2 has a 658mAh battery, but that is a pricier model.

The Max watch has a total of 4GB storage, though some of that will be reserved for the system. That will still leave room for MP3s to listen to on a run without your phone. To be clear, this isn't a Wear OS smartwatch, but it runs a proprietary platform called Zepp OS.

The Max is reportedly equipped with GPS, Bluetooth 5.3 and NFC connectivity and is rated for 50m water resistance. Going by one of the images, it will support official Hyrox workout modes.

The Amazfit Active Max should cost €170 when it is unveiled officially. For comparison, the Active 2 started at €130, while the Balance 2 (47mm, 1.5", 658mAh) is pricey at €300 and a T-Rex 3 Pro (48mm, 1.5", 700mAh) is €400. There is no word on when the Max will be made official yet.

No need for big battery. It adds weight and thic. Anything that lasts 4-7 days is perfect. Your wrist needs some rest. I love my active 2 square. It's small, light, and beautiful.

Definitely prefer this minimalistic look over my T-Rex, but 4gb may not be enough to download countour maps.
