Apple iOS Rumors

As we inch closer to September, iPhone rumors are starting to become more frequent. The latest leak comes from Mobile Fun who obtained three iPhone 11 dummies, each representing the iPhone 11, 11 R, and 11 Max.

These replica samples were manufactured in China and are based on previous render leaks. In the following video, you can see a quick comparison of the three iPhone models with their new square camera setups.

A simple conclusion from the video is that all mockups are pretty much the same size and dimensions of the three 2018 iPhone models, but with a new square camera layout. The iPhone 11R will have a dual camera setup while the 11 and 11 Max will feature a more premium triple camera setup.

The mockup hardware shows that all three devices should feature Apple’s True Tone flash, but the 11 R is the only one that has a visible microphone. Of course, these are mockups and perhaps those detail don’t reflect the official hardware.

Something interesting about the camera layout is that they have double the camera bumps. In addition to the raised square section of the camera array, each lens is also raised above the already raised square. This is an interesting design and we wonder if this much room behind the camera was done on purpose or is purely an aesthetic choice.

We really wonder whether Apple will call it the iPhone “11” or the iPhone “XI”. We wouldn’t be surprised if Apple insisted on keeping the Roman numeral numbering scheme only for people to keep calling it the “ex aye”.

If you're not sure these mockups represent the next iPhone, just ask Olixar. It is so certain about these designs that it already sells cases for the iPhone 11.

Really ugly all them. I can't believe they were approved for sale by Apple.

Camera bumps are a needed design feature in phones. That's to keep them from getting scratches on the camera lenses and the phone's back when having your phone on a flat surface.
