Google Android Rumors

Google's Pixel 9a is due to launch sooner than its predecessors according to past rumors, and today a new detail about it has been leaked.

The phone will allegedly have a 5,000 mAh battery, which is bigger than the Pixel 8a's 4,492 mAh cell. This obviously means you should expect it to have better longevity than the Pixel 8a.

Previous leaks also told us that the Pixel 9a will have a 48 MP main camera, perhaps borrowed from the Pixel 9 Pro Fold, Google's most expensive smartphone. The 13 MP ultrawide will stay the same, though.

The Pixel 9a is expected to launch around mid-March, so expect to hear much more about it as we get closer to that period.

😭 Ee, well we don't expect much from a Pixel, when it comes to battery. 😅 If it gets past 11:30h in GSMArena tests, I'm happy. 🥹

Compact phones (sub 6") are an unprofitable niche. They won't do it. Only a few thousand people are gonna buy and the battery life would most likely not be good.

Yeah... If I were Google I'd launch the Pixel Mini with 5.8" screen and Tensor E1 (4xA720+4xA520+Mali-G615 MC6) - sort of a rebranded Exynos 1580. It would have the dimensions of the infamous S10e. Could even get away with 4000 mAh battery ...
