Just got my HTC HD7 last week . But dont knw why my ringer not sounding. All my games and alarm also become silent . I cant even talk on the phone as the opposite party cant hear me , incoming or outgoing calls. Last nite the sound came back , but back to the same today again . Very sad and disappointed , does anybody knows why , before i go to the service centre.
windows mobile phones are battery hungry. be it samsung, htc, asus or sonny ericsson. but if you're after functionality and a wide range of useful applications, windows mobile is the os to choose.
I am using for the last 2 days and proudly can say that Microsoft has done a wonderful job. Its the best gadget that I owned for the last 10 years. Very response, no crash, flawless, super clarity, easy to use. One suggestion to Microsoft to kindly update the Operation system by giving a update and provide small issues like copy paste, bluetooth transfer etc.
Please try the device before making any comment based on critical review.
Anonymous, 21 Nov 2010No true, I checked HTC HD 7 at T-Mobile, and found that S-LCD is way better than Super AMOLED.... moreI agree that S-LCD display is more sensitive than Super AMOLED.But if you compare the image quality between these two screen , the S-LCD shows way to bad to compare with Super AMOLED.For me I rather choose the great image quality one.
i m using this phone for 3 days, battery sucks , i charge two times a day (in 10 hours) :(. overall this phone is good!!

Before to post you have to see with your eyes some text on a web page on S-LCD then on Super AMOLED which is bad, fuzzy for small text.
HTC always produce BIG phone with BIG screen, but I have to say that all these phone screen image quality are SUCKS,they should atleast put a AMOLED display on their BIG phone!

They said it would arriv... moreYou seem to have used phones I might like (I am on the old HTC TyTn2 with Windows 6). I was thinking of the Desire HD, the I4 or the Nokia 8(I like the camera and had Nokias before the HTC with windows 6.1).
I am currently synched with up numbers and calendar to laptop with Outlook and Google (not sure which one as they seem to all copy to each other ok). Will the I4 or the Android or the symbian software also allow simple synching of calendar and contacts?
Also any other thoughts about the three or four you use
It is strange we do find secondary
camera for video call
and memory card slot
and no tv out for this
new high end top mobile o
of HTC !!!
Missing the SDHC card slot makes all Windows Phone 7 phones a no-sale.
Murad, 18 Nov 2010Hardware wise it's a beautiful handset, design from HTC as usual is first class !! I wish they ... moreNot because of HTC dun wan a second camera for video calling...is WM7 doesn't include a video calling features in their OS...so all the current phone that runs WM7 cnt hv a front camera...it is said that the WM7 OS isn't completely finished yet..it was out because of the date they promised to be out ...
The issue of video calls is perfectly addressed by Apple Iphone. The answer is quite simple, Video calls via 3G has been the most dismal failure of any function that has approached any mobile phone ever. Offered so much , but gave so little. In my country the cost of Video calls and voice calls is the same charge, not you pay for voice the same as video, but you pay for video the same as voice, yet I cannot remember when was the last time I used Video. WHY ? Very unstable and frustrating, and completely disturbs the conversation which is on real time as compared to the video which is totally unstable. Hence the answer as to why Apple Iphone has a camera but no video calls. Their factime is the best thing since slice bread. Try it , you are ready for video calls, the picture is very stable as it uses Wifi, and you can talk H/F or with earphones. So stop asking for the front camera unless it has facetime or similar. Putting the camera in front cost money that can be used for other features.
Indian, 18 Nov 2010no multi touch and TV out ?? specification sounds old for a newly released phone..didnt expec... moreHave multi touch...but no TV Out...they have T-Mobile TV in US..but dunno actual version
Sam, 16 Nov 2010Beautiful phone, looks very nice, I'v owned both the HD1 and the HD2, and I hope HTC continues... moreWhere have U been????? Look at the HTC Desire HD (Same as HD2, but with Android)..........
Hardware wise it's a beautiful handset, design from HTC as usual is first class !! I wish they would've put a secondary camera for video calls, other than that the windows 7 home screen could have been much better designed. Something similar to the (Android) home screen with HTC sense or like on the HD2 with the moving sun/clouds/rain would've made the win 7 op sys even better !!
