HTC vice president, 21 Jan 2009yes,yes wimax its rare on many country but when avaible in many country you can enjoy the full speedBy that stage LTE will be available in most countries and there will be no need for WiMAX as a primary network. I'm certain that many dedicated Wireless Broadband providers will adopt the technology though.
nate , 21 Jan 2009which countries can it be used in? Possible USA with 3G network? Dude, read the specs. NO 3G and only available for YOTA in Russia.

The Truth, 20 Jan 2009A lot of people are complaining because this phone doesn't have 3g. But what they fail to real... moreNo, people are NOT complaining because 4G isn't good enough, people are complaining because WiMAX isn't really available anywhere. It's a network standard that is not very common, and probably won't be for many countries.
The rollout of LTE will beat that of WiMAX as many countries already have HSDPA/3G networks and would rather upgrade those than implement a new technology with no devices.
3G would have been great for people that need to travel to other countries and don't want to rely on EDGE alone.
Anonymous, 20 Jan 200965K colors!!Yes, Windows Mobile still supports only 65k of native color "very poor display if compared to 16M of Symbian or Mac"
65K colors!!
A lot of people are complaining because this phone doesn't have 3g. But what they fail to realize is that wi-max (4g) is so much faster. Wi-max is going to be the next wi-fi. wi-max can get up to 70mbps. That is a lot better then 3g. Its like complaining about a 3g phone not being having analog capabilities.
Can this use in asia
Anonymous, 19 Jan 2009It looks very nice, but I see the release should be in November. It is still in coming soon! M... moreThe handset was released in November. It's only available via the YOTA network in St. Petersburg and Moscow. Won't be available anywhere else for the moment.

What is the max standard internal memory size and max SD slot size please?
zocc, 18 Jan 2009Yo know man you should learn something. Its an 4G phone so 3G is included. Its a WiMAX phone and... more@zocc
What are you talking about? Because it's 4G, "3G" is included??? You need to learn a lot also.
You are talking rubbish!
3G is a standard - UMTS. Do you see WCDMA on the spec list? No.
Some people are only able to use 3G services because of lack of a GSM network (Japan, Korea), or because they are made to only use 3G (Hutchison's 3 Australia customers).
I cannot use a GSM-only device, even if it has Wi-Fi and Wi-Max as my network operator only supports UMTS.
So there you go, learnt something new?
Dan, 18 Jan 2009Useless to me without 3G.Yo know man you should learn something. Its an 4G phone so 3G is included. Its a WiMAX phone and every wireless feature is in it.So learn it.
Useless to me without 3G.
One of the greatest mobile phone to have, an exception to beat Omnia's greatness. This is the flagship of HTC's greatness.
