After 5 years of using 3 Blackberry phones, and lots of research on gsmarena, I bought One V. I did not want to spend too much money mainly because I wanted to try it. Having been using One V for over 2 weeks now. In general, I am happy about this phone. It looks very nice and it definitely stands out. Very good looking phone. I have found that the position of the power connector can be very annoying because the cable is right in the way of your palm when you connect it to the phone, means you can't type normally. I have not come across any heating problem, but I did notice the phone gets heat during charging, which is normal. The aluminium body looks very nice and feels good, but when typing or hold the phone, it can get very slippery. The volume of the phone is very mild, both the ringtone and in call. when you are in a noisy environment, this can be a problem. Single core processor seems to be doing fine job but you do get lag when you switch between different functions. (way slower than Blackberry) However, it's a good phone.

I am planning to purchase this phone, I found it to be the best investment at such a price
can anyone tell me is it worth the price ?

Good mobile worth for its price also ICS is good got a mobile and using it no issues so far. Also it will be worth buying in stores like Gadget World chennai as i have got good price,genuine product and good technical team thanks for both htc and gadget world.

Good worth for our spend,used this mobile very good in all aspects also recommend all of you to buy it from gadget world where we get good rates and genuine products,i think even they have online delivery

This yellow spots issue seems to be available for every handset...is it ok to take risk of 17K ?? do HTC replace handset with new one?? How much painful is that procedure...
I dont want replacement scene to make. Is it ok to by this phone???

I you would like to get One V to do quickier, than install app GO Launcher and Firefox beta...you'll defenetly get better performance in the menus and browsing on the internet!

HTC one V is one of good compatible phones. Only issue is it's non compliance with Bluetooth headsets. I don't know abt newer versions of bluetooth headset as some suggested will work. ICS is fantastic, however 1 GHz processor especially 512 ram can't comply with ICS, hence the lag. Feel one S will be perfect middle range phone with 1.4 dual core processor & 1gb ram. Else, one V is fantastic with a royal feel. Good budgeted phone with ics. Indeed worth getting it. Yellow spots not a prob except yellow tinge on camera mode.

Seen this phone today in Croma stores.
The display of the display is not so bright. Suppose if you compare it with Samsung phone, Samsung have a bright display.
Can anyone comment on this ?

How is the voice in loudspeaker ?
I mean if a song is playing in loudspeaker how high is the volume ?
Also is the ringtone loud enough ??

But... moreTechnically, you can open HTC One series phones using the right tools (DirectFix made a video about that for HTC One S). The problem is, it is difficult to find any batteries for HTC One series.
