Does anyone else have the issue with auto typing on this phone. OMG I've turned off the settings in Input but this MOE FOE keeps changing my words to what it wants it to be instead of what I want it to be. Try typing "Irma" into this phone and you won't be able to.. I don't need to spend $1,100 on a phone that makes me do things it's way. I'm spending the money to do it my way...

You are right for the wifi it sucks the battery. HTC advise that you should plug the set into external power whenever possible. The lithuim battery is the same like the laptop battery that should not drained and charged. I am doing this and I think the battery life is better than fully draining it and fully charging it back.

I also turn the phone setting to GSM where there is no 3g coverage, and it think this should help in preserve the battery life.

Hope that helps.

for the country code problem, I was about to return the set to the store, but after doing a hard reset, things are OK now.

No problems in this set yet.

This is for The Anonymous who wrote long review.

Man i think u work some another mobile brand, cause i'v seen so many touch pro video reviews and i can tell non of your accusation fits. Seriously before u leave such a review think about it. Personally me i'm a SE fan, but even i wouldn't go and leave review for touch pro as u left. It's really a good device with dominating hardware.

Don't take it personal, just think about it.......

I am delighted that HTC have been brave enough to implement a VGA screen. It will really test the processor and battery. It is not easy to run VGA! For the user; tables, graphs and charts will be far clearer. I can't wait to buy one!
Incidentally the practical screen res is the highest that HTC make: 81633 pixels per square inch ( HTC Touch HD only has 62235 pixels per square inch; so the HD tag is a misnomer )!!
The one thing that puzzles me about this phone is why didn't HTC place a 3.5mm jack in the phone so that we can use headphones of our choice??

DARKSTORM1, 19 Sep 200865k colors just ????????????????? plz answer me is it good dispay or not??????It is a perfect display, you will not notice any difference between it and the 16m color. the only downsize is the screen size as it is 2.8" instead of 3" or above, but you sould also know that the slide out keyboard will save you the size while writing or chatting with others. The other phones will take some of the display for the virtual keyboard.

I have been using this phone for almost a week now, it is a good phone except some silly mistake that HTC made. If I store local contact with the country code and if this contact calls me I can not see the name. To see the name of this local contact I should store the number without the country code. For international calls it is ok because the number is sent to the phone with the country code.
I gave the phone for the technical support and I hope that they apply a patch or update the firmware to solve this problem otherwise the phone is useless to me.

If I want to travel outside the country, I have to update all the contacts to include the country code.
I can not beleive that this issue comes from a high end phone like this one.

I will update you later.
