DragonWarriorBoy, 29 Dec 2016Hi, I live in Pakistan and am about to buy an unlocked G5 Sprint model which I will use ... moreIf you want dual sim functionality then but taiwan/honkong h860/860n. And they have most of bands coverage here in India so might cover pak too.
Mesprit, 02 Jan 2017if thats the logic, then why bother for aesthetics when buying a phone? :)So you are using s7 or s7 edge without a case ....Gud luck then..
Mesprit, 02 Jan 2017that is why a lot of people tend to look LG as a cheap manufacturer because only months after ... moreDid you have a dream that "I" was selling G5!???LOL! You are funny. However Why are you so angry if someone got the Lg g5 for almost half the price of S7 edge or Lg v20?Thats a good thing for a buyer .Right? Btw recently the lg g5 prices has been increased by a big margin in the country i live. So bottom line still remains that s7 and s7 edge is crippled for me as they dont support Slimport HDMI tv out nor do they have IR blaster or removable battery.Plus my Lg g5 takes drops without having me worry about the glassback...Cameras on Lg g5 is also much better on Lg g5 than the s7 and s7 edge.Along with the cutting edge sd820 and aderno 530 gpu Lg g5 also has lazer autofocus plus a unique wide angle camera very usefull for landscape videos and photos.and the best part is that the wide angle camera work along with the 16mp camera while shooting videos without having to stop the recording.Lack of slimport tv out,Ir blaster and non removable battery makes the s7 and s7 edge a 2years old junk for me (clears throat)
PARAG B, 18 Dec 2016For Me lg g5 has already broken the glory of s7 edge as samsung decided to no longer offer IR ... morethat is why a lot of people tend to look LG as a cheap manufacturer because only months after they release their flagship phone and you try to sell it, its price will tend to look like a 2 year tech because it will be sold at half of its retail price. (clears throat)
I don't know why people seem so against this phone I have been using it a month now and it's truly a excellent smartphone and it's miles ahead of my htc 10 also and it's such a shame people don't consider it and go to the likes of Samsung.
I know someone who owns a S7 Edge and they think it's far better than my G5 and they slag it off but I settle the conversation by saying can you remove your battery after a year when it's losing efficiency, well I can,end of story.
Mine is H860 .it also some issue...
Like bootloop, lagging and battery issue
After i lost my G3, G4 i have decide not to buy LG phones anymore..
Life is not good with this kind of issues. Bootloop, Poor battery ..
The main camera's quality sucks
I've baught it just for about 2 months and now the power button is not working, although it was not hit or broken or ...
Anonymous, 01 Jan 2017LG is the bootloops king. So?? I think you are getting bootloop too lol
Anonymous, 01 Jan 2017When nougat update arriving in india????Jan end or early feb with 7.1.1 update...as they want the LG V20 to be the first LG smartphone here in India to be with Nougat...so they are waiting for more sales....
DragonWarriorBoy, 29 Dec 2016Hi,
I live in Pakistan and am about to buy an unlocked G5 Sprint model which I will use ... moreBro don't buy a sprint variant, go for a t mobile variant. I have t mobile variant and it supports all 4g lte bands in pakistan.
I'm currrently in islamabad and haven't got any problems with it
DragonWarriorBoy, 29 Dec 2016Hi, I live in Pakistan and am about to buy an unlocked G5 Sprint model which I will use ... moreA Sprint phone may not be compatible with network carriers there due to different frequencies. You may be limited to 2G and Wi-Fi capabilities with this phone. Best bet is to buy the European/International version. If you still want to buy confirm the frequency bands. I have not checked the frequency bands. Overall, not a good idea.
I live in Pakistan and am about to buy an unlocked G5 Sprint model which I will use with a non-Sprint, local SIM, and would like to ask anyone with prior experience:
1) Will an unlocked Sprint model whose 4G LTE bands match my local network's bands offer me 4G?
2) Will it receive OTA Android updates like Nougat update?
3) And should I update to Nougat, since previous posts imply that it isn't good?
