Hi everybody, the LG KP500 can support the real player software or not?
Azgauth, 05 Jan 2009I see your point my friend. And Im not here to argue. My point is that instead of ranting, let... morei had experienced some sort of that problem.. mine was when i turn the phone off before charging it. it resets to it's default settings... what i did was to charge it while it's power is still on then turned if off... after the charging was complete i turned the phone on and it didn't reset... and i am doing the process over and over again and had not experience the problem anymore... try to observe yours if your doing the same... and then try my remedy.. hehe.. good luck...
Helder M, 04 Jan 2009You cant change the theme but surely you can change the wallpaper. Plus, as you have 2 standby... moremy cookie rebooted 3 times in the first week. it restored the original setting. but after that it was working fine now. Hope it does not do that again.
i got lg cookie one week ago,i have a problem saving contacts to phone memory tried everything, anyone help?
I have the 10c firmware version for a cookie bought at Christmas time. I did experience the reboot experience once but after that no probs.
My biggest problem is that it appears inpossible to listen to music in album order, it always defaults to alphabetical with no option to change. This appears a problem with several other LG phones. It's totally idiotic. Do the firmware programs actually listen to music?
I don't suppose anyone has a solution to this do they?
dannyyyyyyyyyy, 05 Jan 2009can anyone tell me what comes in the box PC sync cd
USB data cable
LCD Protective Film
Phone (and stylus)
I am close to finding the answer to our problems...
I'll keep you updated guys. ^_^
here in the phil LG cookie is being sold at around 11,500 pesos. 11.5k pesos for a mere 2G fone with no wi-fi, poor camera, and other "ordinary" features?! touch screen is not a special feature.
com'on pips, be smart with your money!
Can the QWERTY keyboard be used in the organizer mode(memo, calendar)? :)

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970Some Cookies does not have any problem whatsoever.
(and you're lucky if yours is one of these.)
Most cookies have this problem. I thinks its some kind of software / firmware bug or factory defect.
am planning to buy this phone. but i think it got lots of bugs. i mean problems. i have my sony ericsson t700 for just i think a month or two and since i bought it it got software problems. i've been experiencing the same thing. it blacks out. turn itself off. then once i experienced the phone not to open at all. then i do all the reset stuffs. then, thankful it opened. but i really got disappointed with sony ericsson. i'm having my w810i for about almost 5 years already and i never did experience any of these problems. i was really not expecting that this will happen to my almost two months-old sony ericsson t700 for i never encountered such on my walkman phone w810i until now which runs for almost 5 yrs.well, i guess every phone has its downfall. afterall, no phone is made to be perfect.
I Have my LG cookie now for about a week. Touchscreen reacts very good. No reset/shutdown problems so far.
- sound is good
- touchscreen is good and allows for fun handling
- screen quality is good with clears colours
- very light and the size is just right
- price is very good. I paid 140 € on E-bay. don't expect a full smart phone for this price
- Camera is good although I haven't used it very much
- in contact list the phone numbers are not shown and the font is large so you get only a limited amount. scrolling here is very sensitive
- you need to get used to the screen locking all the time but you can't get around this
- data transmission is very slow over the USB cable
- haven't been able to play .avi movies yet
cookie, 05 Jan 2009well the point is, we have released money for this cookie, 10k is 10k my friend. waste of time... moreI see your point my friend. And Im not here to argue. My point is that instead of ranting, let's all help each other in solving this problem. Ü
As I read the opinions here, I can say that my cookie is the worst of all (turns-off automatically almost 4 times a day and resets to its default setting at least twice a day)
So far, I still stick to my sony ericsson k850i cybershot as my primary phone (globe sim) and for me its still the best performing phone in terms of functionality. (awesome cam, astounding sounds, etc)
I only use my cookie as my secondary phone for my sun sim (which most of the time, I only use for calling)
I saved all the contacts and important messages to its sim memory so it wont be affected by the reboot.
For some time, I already got used to its sickness. (I got this fone last dec 26 and its been rebooting and resetting since then) But like all of us, I still want to get what I paid for so Im still hoping and searching for a solution and I know ranting isn't goin to help. Ü And aside from its rebooting problem, I still believe that this fone is one of the best.
I hope you get my point. Chill out friend. Ü
Azgauth, 05 Jan 2009some users here have the same firmware (v10c) and yet they do not experience reset or reboot w... morewell the point is, we have released money for this cookie, 10k is 10k my friend. waste of time, i guess we should stick to Sony Ericsson, Nokia or Samsung. LG means what? Life's Good? or LuGe?
LG is the only brand that i encountered minor reboots and twice reseting to its default setting as of Dec. 19 upto now. this thing never happens to SE, Nokia or Samsung :(
