The only reason i left samsung for lg was the removable battery and now they're going non removable on the v30 so i wont be buying it
Why does not a portrait mode or a blur feature?
😞😞😞😞
5 Mp front camera ?!?! WTF LG !!! Are you guys crazy or what ??? So disapointed and mad, this is beyond my understanding, a powerhouse, the most important flagship in the history of LG and they put an outdated mediocre 5 Mp FFC, I was waiting V30 launching to replace my old Galaxy Note 3, but this is so frustrating, I'll not buy anymore, sadly my second choice is Galaxy S8 !
I owned an LG G2 for 3 years and was very happy with it. Now LG V30 is truly the phone that would make me come back to LG again. Great design, great screen, great screen-to-body-ratio, battery is ok (it could have been easily 3.6Ah), dual SIM, dedicated slot for microSD... I'll wait for the price to come down to EUR 500,- and I'll buy it. I hope by then we will have Lineage for this beautiful beast.
Ryan, 31 Aug 2017No FM radio, No replacable battery, Not worth my money. On how many flagships have you seen lately a radio module? 2-3?
On how many flagships have you seen lately a removable battery?
Nowadays it is more important to have IP68 standard than a removable battery. The newer processors can keep the lights on 2-3 days now and also have fast charging capabilities..why would you need a removable battery?
I dont know how and why people think like this. What do you want to do by numbers written on paper. What about real world performance.?
Someone wants a battery bigger than 3300 mah. Why cant we think other way round that my battery should be 2000 mah but it should last me a day or more. Which also points towards light Interface and lag free experience. Some one wants more mega pixels. What if you are able to produce far better quality pics at a lower megapixel count. I dont even know if you people are getting my point but there are companies which were thinking like that earlier and those companies have also lost their way because market demands specs on paper rather than real performance.
apple always has followed this strategy but they also branded and advertised their products in right ways. Motorola was one which had all that going in right direction when they were up with moto x series and then advent of lenovo spoiled it all.
Rather looking for best specs on paper look into real world of needs. This is how it should be looked at -
I need a phone that fits in hand big screen small dimensions
(i phone 8, essential ph1, s8, mi mix, q6, g6, v30 )
but i want lag free experience - lg q6 out of the list now
my preference is android -
i phone 8 out of the list
not too huge in my average hand
mi mix out of the list
features are important but not as important as lagfree and butter smooth experience
(all left are capable but samsung will definitely be slowest in the lot because of heavy features)
v30, essential, g6 (why to go for sd 820 now)
so v30 vs essential
essential makes it further future proof by providing possibility of mods as well just like moto z series so makes highest level of sense.
now consider the probs with this phone and decide whether to go for it or not.
All i mean to say is spec sheet on paper is only for fooling people. I am myself a product designer and i work in the field of gadgets itself. So i suggest to think ahead of what they are showing you.

People will sleep on the V-30 because of the iPhone 8 and Note 8 but this is without a doubt king of all flagships of 2017
Quick question? Does it really still have an IR blaster? live videos show a headphone jack hole and another dot which could be another mic. The LG V30 is awesome and it has everything that most people want now! The "GOPro" features are awesome!
NizzyG4, 31 Aug 2017Everything top class. Battery is of middle age. This flagship will halt halfway with that batt... moreRead everything before you express your opinion: 3300 mAh battery is the same size as the one from G6 and despite the G6 not performing at its best when it comes to battery life (after the last update of the G6 i get 2 days with ease which I consider to be very good) due to its LCD display, the V30 has a totally different display, OLED which is excellent when it comes to power consumption and backed up by the 835 snapdragon processor, with its low power consumption, it all comes down to a win-win situation.
