I bought this mobile because of speedy updates from Google. Really they disappointed me. I think they should allow us to get updates immediately like other OEM's customer. Because it is a Google Innovative mobile and we deserve to get it after Nexus!!!. Google is a giant company so fixing the bugs is a matter of time. They have huge back up plan to get work done.

I think Aditya is right. Ironing out bugs is more important than just giving speedy updates. At least, we will get updates faster than Samsung/Sony/LG Android phones of same value. Or even double value. Think of that.

I know that you know and you know that I know, but there are some users want update. let them have update. I personaly think google should
take enough time to correct bugs in lollipop before updating in phones

Then why did they advertise that they will be among the first to get the update. Making a fool of customers.

Quite Disappointing, Delay in release of the L update defeats the purpose and USP of these devices in this competitive market. Of late android one has already suffered due to faulty marketing strategy and competitive products from likes of Xiaomi and motorola. I hope someone at google takes a note of this.

I guess January is a good call. Even nexus devices are buggy problems with lolipop.let them give some time to fix this nd make it perfect even though i don't think this version will be bug free and fluidic as kitkat.after all one is google's adopted child .hope for the best.

I don't get these people, always screaming for updates like child.u won't be dead if the update comes out in January. I think Google should take as much time but the update should be free of bugs as much as possible.i am currently using karbonn sparkle v and it is working like wonder. Much better than moto e. Its also more fluid than my moto g.

AnonD-298631, 20 Nov 2014disappointed.... Jan 2015 is very late...must be released this month.. only around 0.3 Million... moreYou're being a tad ridiculous here...yeah probably could be a bit earlier but this still beats the crap out of most more expensive $500 and up phones at the speed of fw/sw upd? And consider the fact that One phones are the lowest specced around with that Google guarantee even better than Nexus?

Also of all 3 rivals you've named only Moto can come close to Android One's fw/sw upd guarantee.

Even though Google released on some philosphy that updates they will own it. So as a customer henceforth I should expect delay in updates at least a week not almost 3 months based on Google philosophy of Android One.
