But I think instead of getting directions over 2.5G network, an inbuilt map software sound to be more sense.

Anonymous, 07 Dec 2009Does anyone really use his cell phone for navigation nowadays?yea, my nokia maps saved me tons of times, even if it takes awhile to lock on i can still find my way using street names, i don have a car so any paper work i need to take care of out of uni i'm pretty much lost but with google maps and my N85's nokia maps i found everything
its amazing, i feel bad for our fathers generations, they never had such luxuries of knowing your exact position.

A 2.2 inch screen is far too small. I found a 2.8 screen two small and my latest phone with sat-nav software has a 3.5 inch scroon. And it it just about right.
I repeat, after getting used to a 3.5inch screen, a 2.2 inch screen looks tiny.

i have an old nokia 6275i which support built-in GPS antenna, but the phone do not have GPS navigation software.
can anyone tell where to download this S40 maps application? is it compatible with 6275i's S40?

This phone can do everything you want except making sandwiches. And it has a 3.5mm audio jack to boot. Nokia phones are almost perfect now. Will the other cell phone companies ever catch up to Nokia?

maps should be FREE at all! and especially on such expensive devices like Nokia N86 or N97!! this one is total crap with 2.2 inch display.... I see no sense...

WTF ??? Navigation phone on S40 ...? What Navigation ... Google Maps :))) ia a lot better then OVI SH|t . Also, the 2.2 screen doesn't help too much ... NOKIA, you are really going down ... I understand they want to make small buget phones for the mass... But navigation phone fot the mass ... I mean, people who travel surely have money to buy a real GPS or a better phone with a real OS... It will be good if is under 150 Euro after taxes, otherwise Samsung is taking over ... Who knows ...Corby GPS :))
