3G lame? I think you need to stand back and think about just what you can do. You can be out anywhere and surf the net, look up maps, download games etc....outside....with your mobile!
Ok its not as quick as your broadband at home but think about the convenience...a few years ago we'd have given an arm for this technology.
Bad reporting, current HSDPA networks can get 21 mbps and will be upgraded to 42 in the next year.
So thats close to half the speed, not 1/10th
I am really excited about this, but in India it is very long time.
On my iphone 3Gs in Korea, i dont see any great data speed of 3G as against the 2G. The web pages and download is same as slow as 2G
Wooww..whilst Indonesia is yet struggling for better 3G connections, Norway and Sweden has equipped with 4G connection, I wish I could be there...
Though our supposedly lame 3rd world country still have lame 3g networks, at least we're thankful that our telcos HAVE PREPAID rates.
Means we don't have to own CHEAP phones to have affordable call and text rates.
I doubt this tech will ever reach malaysia ... not least for another 5 year if lucky ... even the Fixed line internet didn't reach 5mbps ... sigh
4G network is in progress in my country too (Indonesia) built by chinese company: ZTE
the problem with US is the daam frequency difference, whenever a good phone comes out they go agaisnt it just cause it didn't come out on their bolved 3G network
useless people, spend all day taking useless pics and sit there on facebook with no real life, thats all they use their internet capable phones for
useless people degrading the world, hahah they think the getto is what hard life is like
come to Saudi Arabia where you can't look at a girl without getting arrested, you can't swear in public or listern to songs loud
hahah the getto, what a joke
Nice, I wish that this technollogy spread faster. I think that this type of network can be used on HTC MAX, only if things were optimized that way. Anyway, it will pass 2-3 years before we get full 4g coverage like we have 3g now.
There are a handful of telcos' testing LTE around the globe but have yet publicised it yet. This includes AT&T in the US, Optus in Australia and NTT DoCoMo in Japan.
uk networks need to invest more on its masts and where they put them, focus on getting the 3g signal right first for in building and outside coverage ,then think about 4g, learn to walk before you can run
