kzX28, 22 Dec 2016Lol! XZ nougat firmware is really close to android. Slow update? My Xperia X, a midrange p... moreReceived Nougat about a month after it was released to newer Nexus-devices, all good here. Thanks for asking. 7.1.1. coming to this device as well.
Anonymous, 22 Dec 2016Sony is the worstest. Lol.what is the bestest?
Tourettes Guy, 22 Dec 2016When it's Sony's success, a lot complain and bash them. Wtf do you guys really want? Can't you... morebest of "Late" 2016 flagships. s7 s7e and china flagships are not included in this list.
Anonymous, 22 Dec 2016Sony is the worstest. Lol.So your grammar.
Anonymous, 22 Dec 2016what !!!! you can watch videos from youtube that compare this 3gb phone against other with 4gb... moreYeah? Show me one? What are the parameters, what is the sample size?
There is no way in he'll that it beats phones equipped with UFS 2.0 and 6GB of RAM. One is the champ in activity launches, the other is a champion in app retention. It is actually destroyed in real life tests. It's not even a debate, it manages to be slower than a Galaxy S with its heavy skin.
The actual champ (oneplus 3T) almost edges out the iPhone 7 plus: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vm8zC2VAr8w
Given that the iPhone only pauses the apps in the background (while the oneplus doesn't ) that's mightily impressive. It almost hauls twice the load with a less capable processor (apple A10 is about twice as fast as anything else in single thread performance) and still manages to finish close by.
Xperia XZ like any of its 3GB brethren would finish a similar test to twice that time ... at least. Ram and IO speeds is the hardware that matters most on androids. Sony , doesn't seem to care for either. It's as if they don't care their phones are as slow as mid rangers.
XZ nougat firmware is really close to android.
Slow update? My Xperia X, a midrange phone, is running Nougat (December patch) and never lag, fast AF.
Where's your Official Nougat firmware? huh
Anonymous, 22 Dec 2016Unless you live in a rainy country (and even there is debatable), OnePlus 3T shutters this pho... moreI know OnePlus exist, but I'd still buy the XZ. What else does the 3T offer that the XZ doesn't? Performance? Any flagship smartphone is already fast with the SnapDragon 820, but what we care is which one can retain that so-called "beast performance" for months or years of usage. Statistics are telling that Sony has the most stable OS on android platform with only 0.08% crashes, and OnePlus is nowhere close to that mark. Mark my words, the 3T would be a sluggish performer in the next few years compared to the XZ 😉
galaxys6owner, 22 Dec 2016Im off sony fans.there is no point in trying to educate youEducate Sony fans? Why not do it for yourself first, because I believe you're the one who needs it and not us :D
galaxys6owner, 22 Dec 2016Display test 100% brightness
Black, cd/... moreYeah like Samsung used a pinkish hued black material on their AMOLED panel and Sony used a pure black. Maybe try for yourself without your love with Samsung😊
Even the Xperia Z5 Premium still has better display than the S7 Edge lol
I like how everybody says that nobody has a sony and these phones are weak but in every sony article are 100 + comments
Going through the comments, really there are objective people who explains things nicely and fairly. For sure there are too many biased fans who are much biased.
My point is, there is no final judgement which of the XR or Samsung or even one plus is superior to the other, it is an ongoing process/battle of evolution, both of the companies are working hard to keep it up. So, where is the problem??
you know?? the problem is in the fans who try to prove that their beloved firm is the best without objective rationale.
I can tell you that there is no absolute answer to this question, MAYbe galaxy is better, Maybe XR is better. it all depends on what you need from your phone, the budget you have, how often you change your phone, how you use your phone....and so on.
I am pretty sure that specs on paper sheet is never the judging point which phone is better, take a RAM for example, I may have phone of 6 gigs RAM that performs less than one with 3 gigs of RAM due to many factors, like soft ware optimization, the types and speed of the RAM itself (I assume the same processors in both phones, like SD 820/821). Also the type of the internal storage hardware used in both phones, may be its right and read speed is Better in the phone with the less RAM.
my point is, DO NOT GET FOOLED BY NUMBERS ONLY.
we can not also ignore the a major factor which affects most of people in this world, VALUE FOR MONEY. so if I am not a brand seeker, or reliability seeker and want a phone that OK all around, for higher specs and less quality, for sure I will go for the cheaper phone if I will safe half the price.
Final word: despite I am Sony fan (ZR, Z2, Z3 user then moved to NOKIA 1520 then Iphone 6s+) BY TODAY STANDARDS I WOULD BUY ONE+ OR XIAOMI phones because of the value for the money I would pay.
iAmWill, 22 Dec 2016You are the sheep. They are the same size.xperia xz is 5.2" and galaxy s7 is 5.1"
Tourettes Guy, 22 Dec 2016'Cause it's not only Apple who we should look at. If AMOLEDs are supposed to be the best techn... moreSamsungs oled tech is crap, mind you....thats why only few other put it on a phone.
JDI (Sonys) is rgb subpixel matrix one, much better, for VR too.
Heard a rumor Samsung is in process of copying that too.
Sam.y fans will rejoice. :-)
galaxys6owner, 22 Dec 2016Display test 100% brightness Black, cd/... moreYou can write as many as you want but for real user like me it won't affect as its one of the best flagship available right now and it really perform as I imagine it to be. I'm not a blind user and I buy it after testing in my uncle showroom for me a good phone matter more than brand. Try testing in real life and comments here about the pros and cons not by listing the cons from somewhere.
