No wonder iPhone sales are down.
Android users are not sheep.
We should have freedom of choice.
I seriously can't understand what these guys are thinking, i think they are enjoying putting an axe to their own feet.
Well,if there would be 2 usb type c connectors,i could understand...but even with that adapter, we still can't use headphones and charge device in same time.
If HTC would pack a "free"wireless headphones in box (with at least 20h working time),it would be ok..but since they are not....no tnx, i will pass that deal.
HTC lost all my respect.
They are just a copycat phone company now....
Just looking at U Ultra: 1/3 of Samsung, 1/3 of LG, and 1/3 of Apple...
And copying stpd things, like removing that headphone jack.
You are HtC. I mean, you were HTC, renown for superb sound systems on mobile with front facing speakers and superb headphone sound...
Now you got rid of both.
It only works with apple sheeple, get it?
Xdadevet, 04 May 2017They didn't remove the Micro USB port, they upgraded it. USB Type C is everything it was, but ... moreThe advantage of headphones with lightning or microusb-c jack is that they can have noise cancelling circuit or a tiny hp amplifier with dac like fiio or cambrige audio. The old 3,5 mm jack can't drive such Hp amplifier-dac or noise cancelling headphones because their electronic circuits require current drive.
What problem these companies has if they provide 3.5mm jack
These cimpanies thibks lets dk some freakin chanes but at last all these stuffs affects on themself only
Jimbob, 04 May 2017The headphone jack needs to die. Why? Have you some serious grounds or only marketing blah blah blah?
Apple made st.pid movement once and other sheeples follows.
AnonD-664474, 04 May 2017Did they just sell their high end smartphone DACs to some like ZTE, LG, Xiaomi, Huawei, Samsun... moreFor Apple it's not courage xD , it's just opportunity to save some money and earn some money too, Apple has the rights to get payment for royalties for every lightning accessories made so apple is gaining some money and also the fact that they do not have to spend some RnD on way to waterproof audio jack, so it's a win - win Situation for Apple, and also the Apple airpods sales are benefited a lot, but I think main reason is the first one i. e to earn more money through royalties, except Motorola(they did it for thickness) the other companies are just copying them
Armali, 04 May 2017okay i'll say it, i will never ever buy a phone without: -headphone jack -expandable storage... moreI was thinking about the same thing. The sad thing is that this may be reality soon, you might have an option to get a phone with everything you ask for, but it migth not be a flagship-grade phone.
LG superfan, 04 May 2017Whats the point of removing the jack? And wtf with apple calling it courageWhy not be a coward?
Add Ethernet rj45 Port. Add Serial Port. Add FullSized USB 3.0 port, plus 5 USB 2.0 port. Add 7.1 3 port Audio Jack connectors. Plus a CD-rom Drive? Also add 3.5 inch and 5.25 inch floppy disk support? Not to forget those firewire cables for super speed transfers!
Whats with the 3.5mm audio jack removal (tangle free future?) thats just a small issue.. in what Apple have removed.
Whats the point of removing the jack? And wtf with apple calling it courage
Why can't they be more like Samny and include both USB-C and 3.5mm jack?!? They were the one copying their design with the U Ultra... Yet they can't just do this simple, yet vital thing that is to include a jack port.
Did they just sell their high end smartphone DACs to some like ZTE, LG, Xiaomi, Huawei, Samsung, etc. That they ran out of stock for their own?
Motorola was trying to experiment something to remove the jack, and it was neither successful nor a failure
Xiaomi was, meh - copycats will forever be copycats
Apple, what should I say? *Courage* WTF. I can't seem to understand this trend shit anymore
Xdadevet, 04 May 2017They didn't remove the Micro USB port, they upgraded it. USB Type C is everything it was, but ... moreI've used the headphone USB c adaptor on my iPhone 7 it has no benefit except made my cable long.
