time for an update for my Z3 compact. It will either be iphone SE or XZ1 compact
I hope the camera and the built quality of sony has evolved worth to buy for.

AnonD-639488, 27 May 2017Shame on manufacturers i cannot find a dual sim phone with 4.5 inch screen and 3 gb ram even t... moreBest phone you could have gotten in small size was Galaxy Alpha and i don't know if it released somewhere in dual sim.
But for 3gb ram dual sim and "relatively" compact size, excepted Xperia Compact line, you may have to turn to chinese brands. Example, i bought last month a Elephone P8 mini, dual sim, 5inch but very compact (size of galaxy S4), 4gb ram / 64gb storage, MT6750T chip, Android 7.0.. For 100$
I didn't talk about camera since it's barely better than S4mini even if it's dual cam, but you can surely take a look at those uncovered phones by gsma through other sites. And phone is very fast as you can imagine.
Xperia Lover, 06 Jul 2017Sony please release the XZ1 compact with a 4.6-4.7" 1080p screen!!is there a practical (as in useful) difference between a 4.6" 720p and 4.6" 1080p screen on a phone? When you're holding it more than 12" away from your eyes?
I'm a fan of sharp screens but not waste (materials, battery life, energy, bandwidth, etc)
Sony please release the XZ1 compact with a 4.6-4.7" 1080p screen!!
LOL. I'm still own and using xperia x1 today. Still shines after 7 years.
Has SONY run out of name using the combinations of S, X, and Z?
I believe Xperia X1 was the first phone under the Xperia branding, although it was still under SONY Ericsson.
wow I don't understand a thing at all?. :)

Chriskhany, 29 Jun 20171080pIt will still be awesome, backlight will be smaller and will use less power.
NotAFanboyy, 23 Jun 2017XZ1 Compact battery life will be insane with that SD835, 720p screen, LPDDR4X, UFS 2.1...1080p
Hmm..didn't sony ceo just recently announced that sony will discontinue the premium standard models consisted of the Xperia X,X compact & X premium? And only focus on flagship models(XZs range) & mid range models(XA1/XA1 ultra,L1). If this infos from this leaks are legit, it means the XZ1 & XZ1 compact are well aligned with sony announcement, while the X1 perhaps not X1 but XA2 cos sony will not continue the Xs ranges.
XZ1 Compact battery life will be insane with that SD835, 720p screen, LPDDR4X, UFS 2.1...
Anonymous, 01 Jun 2017That design tho :D But shouldn't X1 have FullHD screen? They say 2k is useless. So it wil be Fullhd

Wishlist: a design change (at least don't keep it the exact same), and GOOD camera software
I really really hope Sony doesn't screw up the price of X1 like the X last year. A decent midranger with good processor, but the initial price was :( If they price it well, it will sell
AnonD-671322, 30 May 2017Good to learn Sony does take its responsibilities, yet I never had the courage to immerge my Z3c... Yeah i know, i dont know why i see these comments..
If there is no leak on the phone you are good to go. Try checking its pressure sensor to see if it's still watertight, if the pressure doesn't rise by pushing the phone don't risk it! if the pressure rises at your pressure and then drops under normal as you stop pressing it, it's maybe still watertight. Another way is, to keep all the covers closed except msd slot, and blow in there genty, yet with enough pressure to see if the phone leaks around the back and front panel, if not it's still watertight. close your lips around the msd slot as you blow.
