I wonder why Google doesn't encourage, or even mandate device manufacturing companies to allow users the opportunity to have the most up to date Android os that a particular device can handle? Nougat 7.0 was released in 2016, and, with Oreo 8.0 looming, why are some companies taking their sweet time with updates?
