i got confused with this news. is it about each core speed upto 1.5GHz or in total its speed is 1.5GHz. If its each core then why linpack processor speed testing software say 1.2 or 1.5 it should show total processing speed or it show both each core and total processing speed of device

I wonder how a 1.5 ghz cpu will survive under direct sunlight in a hot day without a heatsink.

It's everyone's personal opinion that matters at the end of the day but one should never be so much sure abt the age of a platform.
Every technology company that has been on the top for continuously many yrs in the past has come down eventually whatever may be the reason for that. So, it's never a 100% sure game in tech market, anything(even the most unpredictable things) can happen.........

I was actually thinking of limiting the speed at like 800 MHz per core or something when I get this. lol

                                1.5GHz stable? wow. But what's the benefit for 1.5 GHz x 2?

AnonD-1082, 12 May 2011Slow news day GSMA? I thought so. This is hardly news. Android needs powerful hardware just to... moreyeah ,some of you keep saying that ,but then go and check out an android lower-end device like the HTC wildfire s with it's low-end 600mhz processor that is even less than nokia's 680mhz processors
but still it runs more smoothly than my brother's C7.

as for meego ,forget about it,it's a dead end,it's a test platform just like Maemo was.
I was waiting for it as well ,but now I'll just buy what's best at the moment (i.e the SGS2).

all fanboys of all sorts;please stop your cult like attitudes and argue with reason rather than with blind loyalty.

you may care for a company like you own it ,but the companies only care for your money and nothing else, so be smart and buy what ever suits your needs, and not because it was manufactured by a company X ,or because you love some OS so blindly that you're willing to dismiss it's down sides.

I've used nokia and SE devices before and have been using nokia devices for the past 4 years (with a 5800 as my current device),but I admit that s60v5 is a pain in the ass ,and by using my brother's C7 ,I see that S^3 is not any better either.
so I'm switching to samsung & Android now with the SGS2.

                                    cheers

Running 1.5 Ghz dualcore processor with a battery that's been optimized for 1.2 Ghz would really suck. . .
Either get urself a much more powerful battery or good luck with 2 hrs standby time :-P
