This has already been confirmed for the Nokia N9 that will be running Meego. Set to be released second half of this year.

What I wonder, is if people actually compare the displays on their sharpness. I recently looked at an IP4 and was indeed unable to distinguish individual pixels. But then I recently tried the same on the Samsung Galaxy S11, and to my surprise it was very hard to see the individual pixels there too! This has been a quick test but I don't really feel a high pixel density is a good selling point for a screen. For me, the only and foremost main feature for the screen should be its energy efficiency! What good will a pixel density do me if my battery is empty in a few hours. Second to that I'd opt for legislation to be of high importance. What good will a high resolution bring you if reflections make it impossible to see. Brightness, contrast, color reproduction are also important I guess. I suppose it has a nice brag factor or something, but I think that all phone makers should get 1 thing first: Battery life. My nokia could hold out 2 weeks on 1 charge. My nokia E52 holds out 2 days (with twitter, e-mail, wifi + 3G enabled and stuff). I hear that most smartphones have to be charged every other day and if you use it too much it needs a charge even faster. I mean, if you have to charge it that much, why bother buying a mobile, get a wired device which will probably offer you more value for money. :P
