We are talking about China, a country banning Instagram, Watsapp and a plethora of other social networks and messangers only because they weren't allowed backdoors into them and replacing them with Chinese clones which send all your data to government agencies OFFICIALLY. Do you really think that the phones the largest maker in China produces would be secure? They wouldn't be allowed to operate in China otherwise. Apple's been somewhat safe because they cooperate with the Chinese censors and delete banned apps from their appstore on the moments notice, including various VPN apps which could be used to bypass the great firewall of China and they still get a lot of bad press from the government owned media and there have been documented attempts to hack the appstore and introduce spying malware into the apps.
Oh, and the were articles about Chinese smartphones sending user data to servers in China on this very site.

imashine got still a smartphone body. So its more like intelligent smartphone. If it was just intelligent machine you wouldn't need apps and store and to hold device in hand.
