Expect the street price for one of these to be about 300-350 EURO, which seems OK considering the upper-mid-range hardware.
Also, I am mainly interested in it because it does NOT have a huge 4" screen while still offering a good screen resolution. So everyone who is complaining that the screen is to small is kind of missing the point here. There are plenty of phones with big screens and I wouldn't buy any of them.

What some of you guys don't understant is that there is a lot of people who want a high spec phone, but don't want a huge screen. For those people this model is perfect.
Ok, it's not high end, but it still has high specs. There's some sort of wrong notion these days that a phone must have a huge ass screen (therefore sacrificing a lot of ergonomics) to be a proper high end phone.
To me, this is exactly what I've been looking for. Amongst the >4" behemoths out there, this has the opportunity to shine thanks to the people I mentioned above.

Play.now has the xperia ray for pre-order for £350, which is €397. However, on the play.com page to in euros, it'll cost €437. I don't understand this discrepancy and I certainly don't understand why it isn't more competitively priced. However, I suspect the price will go down on launch.
