Ive loved sony smartphones since the cybershot phones/walkman phones. Ive owned them. But lately, sony isnt pushing itself to outpace its rivals other than screen innovation/camera sensor. Sometime ago, sony was there at top. Ever heard of the phrase “if you cant beat them, join them”? Thats what you need to do to rival new phones and then add some. Put 18:9 aspect ratio with HDR screen, put DAC, put dual front facing, put stereo speaker, put xenon flash, thin those bezels sides/bottom/top. Categorize your phones as camera centric/selfie centric/music centric. And fire all your designers! Make us feel excited again!

Someone should have slapped them with a Sony branded earphones to remind their idiot designers to put 3.5mm jack back. The older design was better, all they had to do was to improve the camera software with EIS+OIS and bigger batteries.

I was skeptical of the XZ2 til i held and tested it. Amazing. I'm definitely gonna try to get my hands on one once i have the funds!

Camera? Only XZ2 and XZ2 Compact are good enough to be a camera smartphone. XZ1 and below are not good. Screen? I have no problem with IPS LCD since I prefer natural colors but since people are not contented with 'only' IPS LCD, Sony should adapt OLED. I've seen one of their OLED TVs and it's amazing. I consider Iphone X as having the best screen on smartphone yet but that Sony TV, was just another league. It was hands down best display I have seen. Thinner bezels? Well, put a 6 inch 18:9 screen on the Xperia Z3's body and we have the most elegant smartphone yet with the Mate 10 Pro and S9 as contenders. They better put 128 and 256 GB options this year and also, they should improve the next flagships' design.

Sony Xperia designers should be fired instead.
All people wanted is maintain the Loop design but with a slimmer body, smaller bezels, bigger battery, and OIS on the camera. Instead, Sony's brainless designers gave us a thicc and phat phone with small battery life increase.
