But this mix alpha is totally pointless, IDC about the gimmicky features this screen will have,but it is pointless and way more expensive than any foldable available, better buy a high end phone+tablet+TV and donate remaining money to charity, instead of an overpriced gimmick phone.

Really cheap customers, who of them would even consider getting this very expensive and highly crackable showpiece, not even if it was half the asking price.. good call on shelving this loser, if they want to be like apple they need to change their customer base first.

In my opinion, this phone will be a novelty item, which will largely not change anything for anyone.
What they must try is, increase the practical advantage to customer.
Like, make a phone which bends like a wristwatch and straightens mechanically too, so that everyone carries the phone on his wrist.
That will change lives, it will make phones kept in pockets/ purse a distant history.. also reduce radiation to vital areas like heart, genitals, or so.

It is actually quite desirable phone if you ask me. Especially if the 108 unit is well calibrated software wise for day night portrait and so on and video performance.

A complete wrap around display is a bad idea. It'll probably be all plastic display which will scratch easily, no sturdy metal frame and it'll just not be practical in any way. I would never buy such a handset

At the very least we know that that back camera island strip will be used as a camera housing (minus the display at the back) for future.
Must development like these later on help with development in ways we didn't expect in the future
For example curved screens we now know that they are useful for all the extra antennas 5g needs
Look at bicycle helmets they are basically made/inspired by the front of a ship, look how a ship seems disconnected from a cyclist head protection... And yet still..
