I have used Samsung Flagships for years.
Heck I would be the first to complain if Samsung launched this sh*tty device with low end SD665 at 500 dollar price.

Wow I'm actually blown away of the quality of sample 2 (wide). And this is a mid-ranger so that's even more impressive. I can't wait to see Xperia 1 II. Sample 1 (ultra-wide) looks good but has some purple fringing. Sample 3 (tele) looks quite good, as for samples 6, 7 (low light and night).
I can't see properly samples 4, 5 and selfie; the viewer stretches them weirdly.

the cpu is powerful, not like crappy 665.
and the screen is great on SE even if it is lower resolution,
I'd trade the screen for a better cpu in a heartbeat

665 = low
765 = mid
865 = high
and the 730 is kind of a lowcost 765

Fearghast, 06 May 2020Since you can get GCam on pretty much every phone, I myself am not impressed at all.Full functional gcams are only available for popular phones with extensive developer community support.
Nobody buying this at 385 dollars let alone developers.
Chances of gcam are slim to none.

Nokia N73 Symbian has Sharpness Corner, from 2007...
Sony will play dirty again and again, to take money from clients...

Guru, 06 May 20206.3 - 6.4 inch screen 1080x2340 Resolution 19:5:9 Aspect Ratio without any notch or punchole..... moredream on to have your first xperia... especially with that aspect ratio... sony seem to cater its "old followers"... they arent pushy like samsung, apple and chinese phones... im on my 4th xperia btw, z5 premium... might get the 5th as soon as my current shows slow down... or might get a backup, L4 or 10 II

processor not everything. someone prefer bigger battery, some prefer entertaiment feature,etc
fyi, im using google pixel 3 right now. yes google pixel easier to take picture. but in term of good image must look like this (natural look) not convert from night to daylight.
im consider to take xperia 1ii because more like package phone.
