Genres are things like "fps" or "flight sim" not "Parachute onto an island with 100 other players, gather weapons and fight to be the last man standing at the circle closes in".

Another proff how gimmicky are high refrash rates on phones. It is exactly what I expected from this review and people buying gaming phones for this? Don't make me laugh :)

Gauri, 18 Jun 2020These battle royal games got overnight popular on Android platform with arrival of phones like... moreSomething has to give, though. Fortnite uses assets and servers that run not well on mobile but very well on PS4's, Xbox One's, and Ryzen+RTX gaming rigs.
The ONLY way to make Fortnite run well on mobile is to create a lighter, standalone, fake version like what PUBG "Mobile" and COD "Mobile" did. Then again, we would lose all crossplay and purchases doing so.

And in this article, temperature rise was because of heat from cpu due to high fps gaming, not heat from battery, here that HS system is of little to no use.

It's not odd at all. The 8 is getting hotter means more heat is transferring from the Soc to the frame. The cooler frame on the 8pro means the chip is staying hotter, hence the temperature warning.

These battle royal games got overnight popular on Android platform with arrival of phones like pocophone, honor play & asus rog in 2018 & those phones stuttered while gaming. Its sad to see behemoths like fortnite still struggle to provide a nice gameplay experience on 2020 flagship phones that are twice or thrice time powerful..

Yeah, Fortnite runs on Unreal Engine 4 which is a universal engine so what could work on PC and consoles can work on mobile since it shares the same engine.

Atleast pubg mobile can maintain 60~90fps on a previous gen sd855+.
Neither overheats, nor drops below 55-60.

The launcher does has some configuration baked in, which the game detects.
