How is s1 to s8 exynos being superior...sometimes even in gpu...mean as always?
And how so? If samsung is ditching their large cores and going for either stock or slightly modified arm cores as they did in the past then they are likely to either match the s875 or be superior as they always were before the large cores.
And with better heat management and power constraints from not using the large cores they can properly utilize the mali gpu cores.
In this generation they clocked the mali cores too high. Ontop of the over heating large cpu core issue.
The kirin 990 proves that last generation mal g76 could match the 855 while being a more efficient chip.
And this year's mali g77 cores could do lot better if implemented better as well. So at least match or be on par.
So what logical info does any source have to say exynos will fair so much worse? I doubt they will have the lead they used to because qualcomm finally ditched bench numbers in favor of efficiency. But otherwise it will at least match the 875.

It a solution provider as well, who do you think has the 'chiplet design package'? AMD? Intel after announcing next gen CPU fab by TSMC feature chiplet? It TSMC. And they don't license the tech, they only provider to customers, for free.

And their is a difference between designing exynos and manufacturing the snapdragon.
Samsung designs exynos and puts it together.
This article is just telling you that samsung is putting the snapdragon chip together after Qualcomm designs it.

Its all about business as usual greater market share mean greater income ,
If one day Samsung decide all smartphone they make used Snapdragon chipset Chinese vendors will not have a change to get it any bigger player always got first because its mean bigger incomes for Qualcomm .

This isn't rocket science and AMD has a contract with TSMC. If Nvidia was able to use TSMC, they would. We will see exactly why, when AMD releases their RDNA 2 GPUs. If everyone with the higher market share were treated better, there wouldn't be ANY competition and monopolies would take over.

Qualcomm designs ALL Snapdraon chip sets. Samsung will handle all the fabrication this time. Basically, this means consumers will be getting "THE BEST of both worlds." I am looking forward to 875 products.

Togole, 15 Sep 2020Impressive if they bagged the entire line for this round. Have to wonder if TSMC actually lost... moreNo capacity because they have to produce Apple's SoC and AMD's CPU and GPU. That's why Nvidia has settled with Samsung, even though they have worse yields and efficiency, despite what self-proclaimed experts here comment.
