Everybody, calm down. All the flagships are amazing, and it's fine for you to have your own opinions on which device you'd prefer, but stop bashing these devices, these devices are tailored for different crowds. If they don't suit you then so be it, please, don't go around criticizing any OEM or any device, because what you like may not be what someone else may like. Peace.

I am truly torn between the htc m8 and the Z2 but I think m8 might just swing it with design and build yet Z2 offers waterproofing and 20mp camera and 4K but I think with most people it really does come down to the way it looks and feels, the only thing putting me of the Z2 is the glass build which in my job in the construction industry, I would be afraid and shattering it or chipping the glass i know you can get life cases and such but m8's aluminum build is solid and the dark grey is a really nice industrial color
Sometimes is not about the features, ask yourself this. How many of you bought a device and REALLY use all features? People should but phones which suits them and not trend. Samsung has strong marketing, I am also a Samsung user but that doesn't mean other phone are bad. Apple are reliable, HTC has good build quality. Every manufacture has their pro and cons. Don't let marketing advertisement bluff you into buying any of their product before you consumers research it first. Be smart

And as for the camera on the m8 no one even knows yet how many pixels is going to be so there is no argument for that yet, and as for fingerprint sensors and heart rate monitors they are all just novelties of the phone which Samsung are going to use to sell it. As for the snapdragon in htc it is going to be the 801 2.5ghz maybe? And the be all and end all really if the software near enough matches up is the aluminium against cheap plastic, on the other hand if the S5 was to be aluminium also I seriously would have considered it over the m8 but that is the main reason for me choosing the m8 the design and build quality is of a much different calibre, holding the htc m8 in the palm of your hand will make you feel you real quality I myself think the htc one feels a lot better than any of the iPhones so that's my argument. peace!

There are far too many advantages the Samsung Galaxy S5 has over HTC One 2014 than just the camera. The better version of Snapdragon 801, S5 has MSM8974AC whereas One has MSN8974AB. Fingerprint sensor. IP67 certified dust & resistance. Water resistant up to 1 meter & 30 minutes. 2800mAh battery of S5 over 2600 mAh battery of HTC One. Wireless charging. It is not "JUST" the camera for gods sake. And if the specifications of gsmarena are true, there is a hell lot of difference between the 16mp camera of s5 and 5mp camera of HTC One.
This post was very well written and it also contains a lot of useful facts. I appreciated your professional way of writing this post. Thanks you have made it very easy for me to understand.all free vectors

Maybe htc has a trick up its sleeve and surprise us all with 4K recording and 20mp camera ?? They have to something to surprise us

AnonD-1385, 21 Mar 2014I hope the HTC One 2014 has much more innovative features compared to it's predecessor. I say ... moreIf we are to be honest, we have to admit that smartphone market have changed. No matter what OS we chose, software is waaaaaaay beyond hardware. There's no difference in running Kitkat, for example, on snapdragon 600, 800, 801 or next 805. Same at iOS..i'm not familiar with Microsoft OS but it's still a "beta" related to more mature Android and iOS.
So each year every big manufacturer release a new flagship..but the truth is that there's no need for customers to exchange phones from year to year now because there are no notable differences. I have a HTC One X (and HTC EVO 3D) but despite HTC ONE being a beautiful and more advanced phone there was NO REAL reason to upgrade. Now I'll buy HTC One 2014 because it will have a better hardware (including camera)but related to a 2 years phone. And I'm changing it because I like gadgets not because my HOX is slow or laggy or buggy..but I want a change.
And that's manufacturer's greatest problem..there is NO REAL need for customers to change phone each year because there are no substantial improvements from year to year. The gimmicks that could make a phone more intresting are very limited: fingerprint is not useful (I don't want that my fingerprints to be stored anywhere..I can change a password but I can't change my fingerprints or my retina). Heart rate monitor...for..WHAT -maybe a limited group of people but in general not very useful-. Water and dust proof..interesting but the sound from the speakers is not great because of this protection. Micro SD is not so important -maybe only for those who listen to a lot of music- in general the standard 32 (26 available) GB are enough for 90% of users. There's no notable difference between Full HD screen and QHD screen (but despite general opinion you CAN see the difference: the image is more smooth, no matter you can't really see the pixels from normal distace)..and so on.
What we care now are real improvements: A stylus for a phablet is great, for example. And I've seen that Apple is trying to patent one now. A true multitasking also is what we want (to listen to a youtube music video while searching net, for example). HTC has 2 direction, sound and camera. HTC has sound with dual speakers and is the best now and its camera should be the best overall with its cool new features (if rumors are true. 4ump was crap, but over 8mp it doesen't matter if it's 8mp or 50 mp in 90% of cases). A good battery life (meaning a good battery and good software) is always wanted.
So we all be disappointed by basic hardware because it CAN'T improve in a spectacular manner from year to year. We'll just want more features, and useful ones and lower price.
In fact your fanciful writing abilities has inspired me to start my own weblog now. Truly the blogging is spreading its wings rapidly. Your generate up is a fine example of it.Thanks yet again for discussing this cost-free on the web!free vectors

I feel that the m8 is by far going to be the smartphone of the year, I couldn't decide on the z2 or the m8 but I just can't be torn away from the m8 in design, forget S5, Z2, LG G 3 and even iPhone 6 ! The htc m8 is going to be the smartphone of 2014 especially having an sd card slot which is the icing on the cake. I do however, hope it has atleast a 3000 mAh battery and this device would win hands down any one else with me?
